Land declared to be Crown Land subject to “The Land for Settlements Act, 1894.”

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto has been acquired under the provisions of “The Land for Settlements Act, 1894” (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), and the purchase thereof has been concluded as by the said Act is provided: And whereas it is enacted by the said Act that all land so acquired shall be proclaimed as Crown land subject to the provisions of the said Act:
Now, therefore, I, James Prendergast, the Administrator of the Government of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the power and authority conferred by the said Act, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall, on the date of the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, be and be deemed to be Crown land subject to the provisions of “The Land for Settlements Act, 1894.”
SCHEDULE.
TOKA-RAHI SETTLEMENT.
All that area in the Otago Land District, containing by admeasurement 11,051 acres 2 roods 9 perches, more or less, situated in Blocks II., VI., VII., and VIII., Maruwenua Survey District: bounded towards the west by Block IX of said district; towards the north-west by the Maruwenua River; towards the south-east by the Livingstone—Duntroon Road; towards the north-east by parts of original Sections Nos. 6 and 7, Block VI.; towards the east and north by Block III. of said district; again towards the east by original Sections Nos. 6 and 4 of Block II.; again towards the south-east by the Awamoko Stream; again towards the east by other part of original Section No. 3 of Block VIII., all of said district; and towards the south by Block X. of Kauroo Survey District, exclusive of the freehold of A. A. McMaster: being a piece of land containing by admeasurement 1,500 acres 2 roods 5 perches, more or less, within the above-described boundaries, and edged with red on the plan hereinafter referred to: as the above-described area is delineated upon the plan marked S.G. 19016, deposited in the Head Office of the Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon edged by a broken brown line.
Given under the hand of His Excellency Sir James Prendergast, Knight, Chief Justice, Administrator of the Government in and over Her Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies, at the Government House, at Wellington; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, this twenty-ninth day of April, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and ninety-seven.

BY virtue of the powers vested in the Governor by “The Canterbury College and Canterbury Agricultural College Act, 1896,” and of all other powers and authorities him enabling in this behalf, His Excellency Sir James Prendergast, the Administrator of the Government of the Colony of New Zealand, doth hereby make the following regulations for the proper conduct of all elections of members of the respective Boards of Governors of the Canterbury College and the Canterbury Agricultural College:—
REGULATIONS.
As to the Canterbury College.
- For the purpose of the election of members of the Board of Governors of the Canterbury College the Returning Officer appointed by that Board shall prepare four electoral rolls, namely,—
