Rural Lands in the Auckland Land District open for Sale
or Selection.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred upon me by the one hundred and thirty-sixth
section of "The Land Act, 1892," I, James Prendergast, the
Administrator of the Government of the Colony of New
Zealand, having received the report of the Surveyor-General
in this behalf, as in the said section is provided, do hereby de-
clare that the rural lands described in the Schedule hereto shall
be open for sale or selection on and after the twelfth day of
May, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-seven; and
also that the lands mentioned in the said Schedule may, at the
option of the applicant, be purchased for cash, or be selected
for occupation with right of purchase or on lease in per-
petuity, or, in respect of any lands containing or supposed to
contain any metal, mineral, or valuable stone, be selected on
lease in perpetuity only; and I do hereby also fix the prices
at which the said lands shall be sold, occupied, or leased, as
mentioned in the said Schedule hereto, and do declare that
the said lands shall be sold, occupied, or leased under and
subject to the provisions of "The Land Act, 1892."
SCHEDULE.
AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—RAGLAN COUNTY.
Unsurveyed Second-Class Land.
All that parcel of land in the Auckland Land District,
situate in the Parish of Whaingaroa, containing approxi-
mately 3,100 acres. Bounded towards the north by Section
No. 129 of the Parish of Whaingaroa; towards the north-east
by Sections Nos. 115, 114, and 134 of the same parish; towards
the south-east by the south-eastern boundary of Raglan
County; towards the south-west by Sections Nos. 133 and
132 of the Parish of Whaingaroa aforesaid; towards the
north generally by Sections Nos. 64, 63, 21, 100, 41, and 128
of the same parish; and towards the north-west by the last-
named section and by Sections Nos. 84, 81, and 80 of the
same parish, and by the south-eastern boundary of the last-
mentioned section produced to the point of commencement.
Description of land: Broken forest land; about seven
miles from Raglan.

Cash price: 10s. per acre; occupation with right of pur-
chase, rent, 6d. per acre per annum; lease in perpetuity,
rent, 4/8d. per acre per annum.

Regulation under "The Industrial Conciliation and Arbitra-
tion Act, 1894."

PURSUANT to and in exercise of the powers in this
behalf conferred upon him by "The Industrial Con-
ciliation and Arbitration Act, 1894," and of all other powers
him enabling in this behalf, His Excellency the Adminis-
trator of the Government of the Colony of New Zealand
hereby repeals the regulation made on the thirtieth day of
October, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-six, for the
purpose of prescribing the fees to be paid to the President
and members of the Court of Arbitration and the Chairman
and members of the Board of Conciliation, and in lieu
thereof hereby makes the following regulation for the pur-
pose aforesaid, and declares that such regulation shall come
into force as from the thirtieth day of October, one thousand
eight hundred and ninety-six.
REGULATION.
The fees payable to the President and each member of
the Court of Arbitration, and the Chairman and each
member of the Board of Conciliation, shall be as follows:—
To the President and each member of the Court of
Arbitration,—
For each day's absence from the town in
which he resides, for the purpose of attend-
ing the sittings of the Court, including the
day of departure but not the day of return £2 2 0
To the Chairman and each member of the Board of
Conciliation,—
For each day's sitting of the Board in the
town in which he resides .. .. .. £1 1 0
Or, in cases where the sitting commences
later than 5 o'clock in the afternoon, such
less sum as the Minister of Labour deems
reasonable, having regard to the circum-
stances of each case as it arises.
For each day's absence from the town in
which he resides, for the purpose of attend-
ing the sittings of the Board, including the
day of departure but not the day of return 1 10 0
In addition to the foregoing fees, the cost actually paid or
incurred in respect of fare for passage by rail, vessel, or
coach to and from home will in each case be paid.

trator of the Government, this sixteenth day of
March, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-
seven.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority
vested in me by the fourth section of "The Law Prac-
titioners and New Zealand Law Society Acts Amendment
Act, 1896," I, James Prendergast, Knight, the Administrator
of the Government of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby
appoint Monday, the twelfth day of April, one thousand
eight hundred and ninety-seven, to be the day for
the first election of members of the Council of the New
Zealand Law Society, under and in accordance with the
provisions of the said Act.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Adminis-
trator of the Government, this twenty-fourth day
of March, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-
seven.
