Land set apart for Settlement.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by the second section of “The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act Amendment Act, 1891” (herein termed “the said Act”), it is, amongst other things, enacted that, before certain moneys therein mentioned shall be expended upon any block of land, it shall be necessary that the same be proclaimed as set apart for settlement:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of every power and authority enabling me in this behalf, and for the purposes of the said Act, I, James Prendergast, the Administrator of the Government of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim the block of land described in the Schedule hereto as set apart for settlement.
SCHEDULE.
MOEAWATEA SPECIAL SETTLEMENT BLOCK.
All that area in the Taranaki Land District, containing by admeasurement 11,000 acres, more or less (exclusive of roads and reserves), comprising Sections Nos. 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, and 17, Block VIII., Section No. 26, Block XI., and Sections Nos. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, and 28, Block XII., Omona Survey District; and Sections Nos. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8, Block V., Sections Nos. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8, Block IX., Taurakawa Survey District. Bounded towards the north by a forest reserve; towards the east by the Totara Stream and Crown lands; towards the south by Crown lands, Koane Road, Crown lands, and Rawhitiroa Road; and towards the west by the Rawhitiroa Road and the Whenuakura Special Settlement: as the same is delineated on the plan marked S.G. 35618, and deposited in the Head Office of the Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured red.

Amending a Proclamation setting apart Land for Karu-o-te-whenua Improved-farm Special Settlement, Auckland Land District.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred by the one hundred and sixty-second section of “The Land Act, 1892,” and of all other powers and authorities enabling me in this behalf, I, James Prendergast, the Administrator of the Government of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby amend the Proclamation published in the New Zealand Gazette of the seventh day of January, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-seven, page five, in respect of the name above the Schedule thereto, and declare that the name of the improved-farm special settlement shall be “Paemako,” in lieu of “Karu-o-te-whenua.”

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance of the power and authority conferred upon me by the one hundred and sixty-eighth section of “The Land Act, 1892,” I, James Prendergast, the Administrator of the Government of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the allotments of Crown land respectfully described in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same are hereby set apart and declared open for lease as village-homestead allotments.

A PROCLAMATION.
BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the one hundred and seventy-second section of “The Land Act, 1892,” and of every other power and authority enabling me in that behalf, I, James Prendergast, the Administrator of the Government of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby declare that the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto shall be subject to the provisions of “The Land for Settlements Act, 1894,” and its amendments, and of sections one hundred and seventy-two to one hundred and eighty-six of Part V. of “The Land Act, 1892,” relating to small grazing-runs.
