Land set apart for Settlement.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by the second section of "The Government
Loans to Local Bodies Act Amendment Act, 1891"
(herein termed "the said Act"), it is, amongst other things,
enacted that, before certain moneys therein mentioned shall
be expended upon any block of land, it shall be necessary
that the same be proclaimed as set apart for settlement:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of every power
and authority enabling me in this behalf, and for the pur-
poses of the said Act, I, James Prendergast, the Adminis-
trator of the Government of the Colony of New Zealand,
do hereby proclaim the block of land described in the
Schedule hereto as set apart for settlement.
SCHEDULE.
MAROPIU BLOCK.
All that area in the Auckland Land District, containing by
admeasurement 5,350 acres, more or less, situated in Tuta-
moe and Kaihu Survey Districts. Bounded towards the
north by Hokianga County; towards the east generally by
State Forest Reserve in Block XV., Tutamoe Survey Dis-
trict, by a right line from the south-western corner of that
reserve to the north-western corner of State Forest Reserve
in Block III., Kaihu Survey District, and by the last-men-
tioned reserve; towards the south-east by the Waimata
Block; and towards the south-west by the Upanake No. 1
Block: as the same is delineated on the plan marked S.G.
35626, deposited in the Head Office of the Department of
Lands and Survey, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land
District, and thereon coloured green.
Given under the hand of His Excellency Sir James
Prendergast, Knight, Chief Justice, Administrator
of the Government in and over Her Majesty's
Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies,
at the Government House, at Wellington; and
issued under the Seal of the said Colony, this
third day of March, in the year of our Lord
one thousand eight hundred and ninety-seven.

the Patua Block, containing 9,691 acres 3 roods 30 perches
(exclusive of roads and reserves), being Sections Nos. 1, 2,
and 3, Block I., Egmont Survey District; Sections Nos. 1, 2,
3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 12, 14, 16, and 17, Block V., Egmont
Survey District; Sections Nos. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 8, 9, 11, 12, 13,
14, 16, 17, 18, 19, Block VII., Cape Survey District;
Sections Nos. 12, 13, 14, 16, and 17, Block X., Cape Survey
District; and Sections Nos. 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, and 13,
Block XI., Cape Survey District: as the same is delineated
on the plan marked S.G. 35627, deposited in the Head Office
of the Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, in
the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured green.
