German Consul-General, Sydney, to receive Residue of Intestate Estates in certain Cases.

Pursuant to the provisions of the forty-ninth section of “The Public Trust Office Consolidation Act, 1894,” I, James Prendergast, the Administrator of the Government of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby notify that moneys or personal chattels payable or deliverable by the Public Trustee to the subjects of the German Empire resident therein may be paid or delivered to the Consul-General for the said empire resident at Sydney, in the Colony of New South Wales, who has been represented to me as the Chief Consular Officer of such empire as regards the Colony of New Zealand.

Given under my hand, at Wellington, this thirteenth day of February, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-seven.

Removal of Restrictions on Alienation of Native Land.

Whereas application has been made to the Governor by the owner of the lands described in the Schedule hereto, praying that the restrictions on the alienation of such lands contained in the division orders made by the Native Land Court, under the provisions of “The Native Land Division Act, 1882,” bearing date the third day of December, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-three, and now contained in the Crown grants bearing date respectively the eighteenth day of November, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-two, and the second day of June, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-three, may be removed: And whereas inquiry has been duly made by the Native Land Court, and the said Court has recommended that such restrictions be removed:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Administrator of the Government of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on him by the fifty-second section of “The Native Land Court Act, 1894,” and in accordance with the recommendation of the Native Land Court, doth hereby order and declare that all restrictions imposed by the said division orders and Crown grants on the alienation of the said lands are hereby removed.


SCHEDULE.

All that parcel of land, containing 1 rood, being the land known as Kaiti No. 72 Block, held under Crown grant dated 18th November, 1892, in favour of Mere Whakaangi, and containing the following restrictions: “Inalienable by lease for a longer period than twenty-one years, and shall be otherwise inalienable except with the consent of the Governor.”

All that parcel of land, containing 2 roods, being the land known as Kaiti Nos. 73 and 74 Blocks, held under Crown grant dated 2nd June, 1893, in favour of Mere Whakaangi, and containing the following restrictions: “Inalienable by lease for a longer period than twenty-one years, and shall be otherwise inalienable except with the consent of the Governor.”

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Administrator of the Government, this fifteenth day of February, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-seven.
