NOTICE.—APPLICATION FOR WATER-RACE.

UNDER “THE MINING ACT, 1891,” AND “THE PUBLIC WORKS ACT, 1894.”

Otago Mining District,
16th January, 1897.

To the Warden at Cromwell.

I HEREBY give notice that I am applying for a water-race to divert and use for industrial purposes, commencing at a spring, Burnt Cottage Creek, through Pre-emptive Right B on Run 245, Section 3, Cromwell District, and terminating at my homestead, Wanaka Road.

The length of such race is 1 mile or thereabouts, and its intended course is easterly.

The mean depth of such race is 1ft., and the mean breadth is 1ft.; and it is proposed to divert one-eighth of a Government head of water.

Such race is already constructed.
