Mining Notices.

In the matter of “The Mining Act, 1891,” and of “The Foreign Companies Act, 1884,” and of the Mines Corporation of New Zealand (Limited).

NOTICE is hereby given by the above-named company of its intention to cease to carry on business in any part of the colony from and after the 31st day of December instant.

In the matter of “The Foreign Companies Act, 1884,” “The Mining Act, 1891,” and its amendments; and in the matter of the Westralia and New Zealand Gold Explorers (Limited).

NOTICE is hereby given that the Westralia and New Zealand Gold Explorers (Limited), a company duly incorporated and registered in England under the Companies Act, 1862 to 1890, intends to carry on its business at Macetown, in the Provincial District of Otago, in the Colony of New Zealand, and that the office of the said company in New Zealand will be at the company’s gold-mining claim at Macetown aforesaid, where legal proceedings of any kind may be served upon the said company, and to which notices of any kind may be addressed or given.

In the matter of the Roxburgh Gold Steam-dredging Company (Limited).

AT an extraordinary general meeting of the members of the above-named company, duly convened, and held at Wood’s Private Hotel, Rattray Street, Dunedin, on Thursday, the 9th day of December, 1897, the following extraordinary resolution was passed:—

“That it has been proved to the satisfaction of this meeting that the company cannot by reason of its liabilities continue its business, and that it is advisable to wind up the same, and accordingly that the company be wound up voluntarily under the provisions of ‘The Companies Act, 1882.’”

And at the same meeting JABEZ BURTON, of Roxburgh, Auctioneer, and Secretary to the company, was appointed Liquidator for the purpose of the winding-up.
