THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership hitherto
existing between us, the undersigned CHARLES EDWARD
PARRINGTON and JOSEPH ALFRED GOODSON, who have hereto-
fore carried on the business of Commission, Produce, Wine
Merchants, and Auctioneers, at Hawera, under the style or
firm of "Parrington and Goodson," has been dissolved by
mutual consent as from the 5th day of June, 1897, and that
Mr. Joseph Alfred Goodson will discharge all liabilities of,
and receive all moneys due to, the late firm.

I, WILLIAM STEPHEN, Bachelor of Medicine of the
University of Toronto, Canada, now residing in Wai-
wera South, Otago, hereby give notice that I intend applying
on the 29th day of December, 1897, to have my name
placed on the Medical Register for the Colony of New Zea-
land; and that I have deposited the evidence of my qualifi-
cation in the office of the Registrar of Births and Deaths at
Dunedin.

NOTICE OF DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.

THE Partnership heretofore subsisting between the
undersigned ARNOLD CHARLES LEWIS and THOMAS
WILLIAM LEWIS, as Solicitors, has this day been dissolved
by mutual consent. The practice will be carried on
by Mr. T. W. Lewis, at the offices of the late firm, in
Hastings.

In the matter of "The Wesleyan Methodist Church Pro-
perty Trust Act 1887 Further Amendment Act, 1896."

I, HENRY THOMAS BURGESS, President of the
Eighth General Conference of the Australasian Wes-
leyan Methodist Church, held in the City of Auckland, in
the Colony of New Zealand, hereby certify that on the 16th
day of November, 1897, the following resolution was passed
by such General Conference:—

"Whereas by section 5 of an Act made and passed by the
General Assembly of New Zealand, intituled 'The Wes-
leyan Methodist Church Property Trust Act 1887 Further
Amendment Act, 1896,' it is provided that such section shall
not take effect until approved of by a resolution of the
General Conference of the Australasian Wesleyan Metho-
dist Church: Now, this General Conference doth hereby
approve of the said section, subject to the proviso that no
alteration, modification, or repeal under subsections (2) or
(3) of the said section, or either of them, shall be made
without the consent of the said General Conference, or other
Conference exercising supreme jurisdiction in the Colony of
New Zealand; and, further, directs its President to give a
certificate to that effect."

SUBSCRIPTIONS.—The subscription is at the rate of 30s.
per annum, PAYABLE IN ADVANCE. A less period than
three months cannot be subscribed for.

Single copies of the Gazette, 6d. each.

Advertisements are charged at the rate of 6d. per line for
the first insertion and 3d. per line for the second and any
subsequent insertion.

Statements under the Mining Act are uniformly charged
23s.

All advertisements should be written on one side of the
paper, and signatures, &c., should be written in a legible
hand.

The number of insertions required must be written across
the face of the advertisement.

The New Zealand Gazette is published on Thursday even-
ing in each week, and notices for insertion must be received
by the Government Printer before three o'clock of the day
preceding publication.

Communications should be addressed to the Government
Printer, Wellington, to whom post-office money-orders
should be made payable. Cheques should be crossed "Pub-
lic a/c," and exchange added.

Postage- or duty-stamps cannot be received in payment
from any place at which postal notes or post-office orders are
issued.

Prepayment may be demanded in any case. In order to
prevent delay in publication a sufficient remittance should
accompany every advertisement. Any surplus will be
returned with receipted account.
