Notice of Request to amend Specification.
Patent Office,
Wellington, 9th December, 1896.
A REQUEST for leave to amend the specification (includ-
ing drawings) relating to the under-mentioned appli-
cation for Letters Patent has been received, and is open to
public inspection at this office. Any person may, at any
time within one month from the date of this Gazette, give me
notice in writing of opposition to the amendments. Such
notice must set forth the particular grounds of objection, and
be in duplicate. A fee of 10s. is payable thereon.
No. 8959.—7th October, 1896.—ARTHUR BILLCLIFF, of
Addington, near Christchurch, Canterbury, New Zealand,
Grocer. An invention for improved method of adjusting
certain parts of apparatus for subdividing butter, butterine,
or lard, and also improvements in said apparatus.
The nature of the proposed amendments is as follows,
viz.:—
(1.) To strike out the words beginning “one end” and
ending with the word “said,” and substitute therefor the
words “the rods in each,” lines 30 and 31, page 4.
(2.) To strike out the words “and is,” and insert instead
the word “are,” line 32, page 4.
(3.) To strike out the words “a disc,” and insert instead
the word “discs”; also to strike out the letter “a”; and to
insert the letter “s” after the word “rod,” line 32, page 4.
(4.) To strike out the word “both,” and insert instead
the words “each pair of,” line 33, page 4.
(5.) To insert the word “screw” after the word “two”;
and to strike out the word “when,” and insert instead the
word “for,” line 34, page 4.
(6.) To alter figures 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 7 of the drawings.
The applicant states, “My reasons for making this
amendment are that I deem it advisable to more clearly
describe that portion of the invention referred to, the draw-
ings being amended to correspond, and to correct portions
inaccurately drawn.”
