Notice of Acceptance of Complete Specifications.

Patent Office,
Wellington, 9th December, 1896.

COMPLETE specifications relating to the under-men-
tioned applications for Letters Patent have been
accepted, and are open to public inspection at this office.
Any person may, at any time within two months from the
date of this Gazette, give me notice in writing of opposition
to the grant of any such patent. Such notice must set
forth the particular grounds of objection, and be in duplicate.
A fee of 10s. is payable thereon.

No. 8131.—10th December, 1895.—FARQUHAR MATHESON
McLARTY, of 30, Beach Street, Penang, Straits Settlements,
but at present residing at 7, Margaret Street, Greenock,
North Britain, Mechanical Engineer. An invention for im-
provements in apparatus for boring earth, minerals, and
other materials, for prospecting or other purposes, appli-
cable also for boring operations generally. (Specification,
£2 3s. ; drawings, £2 15s.)*

of Bridge Street, Nelson, New Zealand, Artificial-limb Manu-
facturer. An invention entitled "J. A. Packer's New or

No. 9012.—3rd November, 1896.—WILLIAM KEYMER, of
Auckland, New Zealand, Plumber and Gasfitter. An inven-
tion entitled "Keymer's Improved Funnel Attachment for
the Charcoal Box-iron," whereby the need of keeping the
charcoal alight by continuously blowing is dispensed with.

of Hastings, New Zealand, but now of Renwick Street,
Leichhardt, near Sydney, New South Wales, Artist. An in-
vention for an improved electric photographic time- and
position-recorder, especially useful for races. (Specification,

mer Road, Ponsonby, Auckland, New Zealand. An inven-
tion for a measure for liquids, to be screwed on the mouth
