Fixing Sittings, District Court.
GLASGOW, Governor.
IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority in
this behalf enabling me, I, David, Earl of Glasgow, the
Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby fix and
appoint that sittings of the District Court of Taranaki for
civil and criminal business shall be held in the Courthouse
at Hawera on the second Wednesday in January, March,
May, July, September, and November in every year :
Provided that, in case any of the days so fixed as aforesaid
shall happen to be a holiday, then the Court appointed for
that day shall be holden on the first day thereafter not being
a holiday.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor,
this twenty-third day of November, one thousand
eight hundred and ninety-six.

Special Order made by the Piako County Council, dissolving
Matamata Road Board and making Provision for Election
of Board for new Matamata Road District.

THE following special order, made by the Piako County
Council, is published in accordance with the provisions
of "The Road Boards Act, 1882."

PIAKO COUNTY COUNCIL.
Special Order.
DECLARED by the Piako County Council, That the Matamata
Road Board as now constituted be dissolved, and that the
following provisions be made for the election of a new Board
for the new Matamata Road District (gazetted 10th Septem-
ber, 1896, New Zealand Gazette No. 70, page 1519): viz.,—
(1.) That Mr. Charles John William Barton be appointed
Clerk to hold office until a Chairman or Clerk is appointed
by the new Board. (2.) That Mr. Benjamin Browne, of
Matamata, be Returning Officer to hold the first election of
members for the new Board; and that the election of the
said new Board be held on Tuesday, the 15th December
next. (3.) That the first meeting of the said new Board be
held at the Tower, Matamata, on Friday, the 18th Decem-
ber next, at 7 p.m. (4.) That this special order shall take
effect from the date of its insertion in the New Zealand
Gazette.
I hereby certify that the above special order has been
duly passed.

THE following special orders, made by the Moa Road
Board, are published in accordance with the provisions
of "The Road Boards Act, 1882."

MOA ROAD BOARD.
Special Order.
THAT, to secure the repayment of a loan of £400, raised under
"The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act, 1886," for the
purpose of metalling a portion of the Durham Road East
from Section 30, Moa, eastwards, a special rate of ½d. in the
pound be made and levied over the following lands, which
are hereby constituted the Durham Road East Special
Rating District: Sections part 28, 29, 30, 31, 32, 33, 34, 35,
36, 37, part 42, 43, 44, 45, 46, 47, 48, 49, 50, and part 51,
Moa. Such rate to be an annual recurring rate for twenty-
six years, and to be payable, in two half-yearly instalments,
on the 1st day of January and the 1st day of July in each
year.
Special Order.
That, to secure the repayment of a loan of £300, raised
under "The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act, 1886,"
for the purpose of forming and metalling a portion of the
Norfolk Road East from Section 56, Moa, eastwards, a
special rate of 5d. in the pound be made and levied over the
following lands, which are hereby constituted the Norfolk
Road East Special Rating District: Sections 54, 55, 56, 57,
58, 59, 60, 61, 62, 63, 64 (in two subdivisions), 65, 69, 70, 71,
72, 73, 74, 75, 76 (in two subdivisions), 77, Moa. Such rate
to be an annual recurring rate for twenty-six years, and to
be payable, in two half-yearly instalments, on the 1st day
of January and the 1st day of July in each year.
Special Order.
That, to secure the repayment of a loan of £200, raised
under "The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act, 1886,"
for the purpose of forming and metalling a portion of the
Upland Road North from Section 78, Taranaki, north-
wards, a special rate of 5d. in the pound be made and levied
over the following lands, which are hereby constituted the
Upland Road North Special Rating District: Sections 28, 33,
56, 57, 58, 59, 60, 61, 62, 63, 64, 65, 67, 68, 69, 70, 74, 75, 76, 77,
Taranaki. Such rate to be an annual recurring rate for
twenty-six years, and to be payable, in two half-yearly in-
stalments, on the 1st day of January and the 1st day of
July in each year.

stituting Hunterville Road District.

THE following special order, made by the Rangitikei
County Council, is published in accordance with the
provisions of "The Road Boards Act, 1886."

RANGITIKEI COUNTY COUNCIL.
Special Order constituting a new Road District.
RESOLVED, "That the Council of the County of Rangitikei,
in answer to the prayer of a duly-signed petition dated
3rd August, 1896, and in exercise of the powers vested in it
by 'The Road Boards Act, 1882,' do hereby declare that the
portions of the Paraekaretu, Otairi, and Ohingaiti Ridings
of the Rangitikei County (outlying), comprising one con-
tinuous area, and described in the Schedule hereunder
written, shall constitute a new road district, to be called the
Hunterville Road District, and that the number of the
members of the Board thereof shall be five. This special
order shall take effect from the date of its publication in the
New Zealand Gazette."
I hereby certify that the above special order was duly
made and passed at a special meeting of the Rangitikei
County Council held on the 5th day of September, 1896,
and confirmed at a special meeting held on the 10th day of
October, 1896.

All that area comprised in the Town and Suburbs of
Hunterville, as shown on plan, numbered 48, deposited in
the office of the Chief Surveyor at Wellington, and in the
Hunterville Township Extension, as shown on a plan, num-
bered 297, deposited in the office of the District Land
Registrar at Wellington, being also the areas contained in
the Hunterville Township Special Rating District and the
Hunterville Extension Township Special Rating District.
Beginning from the north-western angle of Section 203 ;
thence by a straight line eastwards across all roads to the
north-east angle of Section 197; thence across a road to the
north-east corner of Section 198; thence by the eastern
boundaries of Sections 198, 199, 200, 201, the south-east
boundary of Sections 201 and 202, and by the east boundary
of Section 269, all of the Town of Hunterville, by the side
of a road, the crossing of the railway-line and of a road, to
the north-western corner of Section 86 of the Hunterville
Township Extension; thence by a straight line to the north-
east corner of Section 89, by the east boundary of Section 89,
