NOTICE is hereby given that applications have been made to a Judge of the Court for certificates under section 55 of “The Native Land Court Act, 1894,” confirming the alienations hereunder specified. All objections to the granting of such certificates must be lodged with me within fourteen days from the publication of this notice in the New Zealand Gazette.

NOTICE is hereby given that the sitting of the Native Appellate Court advertised to take place at Marton on the 24th November, 1896, has been adjourned to the 1st December, 1896, at the same place.

Order under Section 39 of “The Native Land Court Act, 1894.”

IN THE NATIVE LAND COURT
OF NEW ZEALAND.

In the matter of “The Native Land Court Act, 1894,” and of an application by SARAH JANE CLEGG, under section 39 of the said Act, for amendment of certain orders of the Court appointing successors to the interest of Raukatauri, deceased, in the lands specified in the Schedule hereto.

WHEREAS the said application was referred by me to the Native Land Court for inquiry and report, and such inquiry was held at New Plymouth on the 10th day of March, 1896, before William James Butler, Esq., a Judge of the Court, and Takarangi Mete Kingi, Assessor: And whereas, as the result of such inquiry, the Court has reported that an error had been made on the said orders by the omission therefrom of the names of Sarah Jane Clegg and Ellen Wilberforce:

Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers vested in me as Chief Judge of the said Court by section 39 aforesaid, I hereby order that the said orders of Court appointing successors to the interest of the said Raukatauri in the lands specified in the Schedule hereto be amended by including therein the names of the said Sarah Jane Clegg and Ellen Wilberforce for equal shares with the other successors in the said lands. And I further order that all partitions and definitions of interest heretofore made by the Court as between the successors of the said Raukatauri be and the same are hereby annulled, to the intent that such partition and definition of interest may be made in accordance with the order as hereby amended.

I direct that this order be published in the Gazette and Kahiti.
