  1. If at any meeting the Chairman is not present at the
    time appointed for holding the same, the members present
    shall choose some one of their number to be chairman of
    such meeting.

  2. If, by resignation, death, or incapacity, or otherwise,
    the office of Chairman shall be or become vacant, the
    members may at any monthly or special meeting appoint a
    Chairman.

  3. All questions shall be determined by the majority of
    votes of the members of the Board present at a meeting.

SCHEDULE.

All that area in the Otago Land District, containing by
admeasurement 19 acres and 14 perches, more or less, being
Sections 4, 5, 6, and 7, Block XIV., Township of Moeraki.
Bounded towards the north-east generally by the sea, Section
No. 17, Block II., Moeraki Survey District; towards
the west generally by Section No. 7, Block XIII., Township
of Moeraki, Almwch Street, Sections Nos. 6 and 5 said
Block XIII., Menai Street, Sections Nos. 3 and 2 said
Block XIII., Milford Street, Section No. 1 Block XIV.,
Sections 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, and 1, Block IX., Township of Moeraki aforesaid, and the north-eastern boundary-line of the
last-mentioned section produced to the sea.

Also all that area in the Otago Land District, containing
by admeasurement 4 acres 1 rood 30 perches, more or less,
being Section No. 15, Block II., and Section No. 13,
Block III., Township of Moeraki. Bounded towards the
north generally by the sea; towards the east by Crown
lands, 205 links; towards the south by Haven Street,
1200 links; and towards the west by Crown lands, 230
links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less.

Declaring Roads through Tokatoka Swamp Government Roads.

GLASGOW, Governor.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this ninth
day of November, 1896.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by subsection two of the one hundred and
second section of "The Public Works Act, 1894," it is enacted that the Governor in Council may declare that
any road shall be a Government road, and such road
shall become a Government road accordingly: Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New
Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and
authorities conferred by the above in part recited Act, and
by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council
of the said colony, doth hereby declare that the roads
traversing the Tokatoka Swamp reclamation, as described
in the Schedule hereto, are, from the day and date hereof,
Government roads.

SCHEDULE.

TOKATOKA SWAMP BLOCK ROADS.

All that area, containing by admeasurement 13 acres and
32.8 perches, more or less, situate in the Tokatoka Swamp
Block, in the Tokatoka Survey District, being a strip of land
100 links wide, the northern side of which commences at
the south-western corner of Section No. 6 of the said block,
and extends to the south-eastern corner of Section No. 22, a
distance of 13185 links.

All that area, containing by admeasurement 31 acres
1 rood 17.6 perches, more or less, situate in the Tokatoka
Swamp Block, in the Tokatoka Survey District, being a
strip of land 100 links wide, the western side of which commences at the northernmost corner of Section No. 3 of said
block, and extends in a southerly direction bounding Sections Nos. 3, 23, 22, 8, 9, and 10, and continuing for a distance
of 31378 links.

All that area, containing by admeasurement 125 acres and
34.5 perches, more or less, situate in the Tokatoka Swamp
Block, in the Tokatoka Survey District, being an irregularly-shaped piece of land, bounded towards the north-east by
right lines, 3411 links and 7620 links; towards the south-east
by a right line, 1312.3 links; towards the south-west by
Wairoa River and by a right line, 6450 links; and towards
the north by a right line, 1269.8 links.

All that area, containing by admeasurement 10 acres 2
roods 15.7 perches, more or less, situate in the Tokatoka
Swamp Block, in the Tokatoka Survey District, being a strip

of land 100 links wide, bounding on the south Sections
Nos. 26, 27, and 29 of the said block, a length of 10598.4
links.

All that area, containing by admeasurement 9 acres 3 roods
and 35.1 perches, more or less, situate in the Tokatoka Swamp
Block, in the Tokatoka Survey District, being a strip of land
100 links wide, bounding on the south Sections Nos. 1, 2, and
3 of the said block, a length of 10452.4 links.

All that area, containing by admeasurement 45 acres
1 rood 8 perches, more or less, situate in the Tokatoka
Swamp Block, in the Tokatoka Survey District, and being a
strip of land 150 links wide, bounding on the east Sections
Nos. 28, 29, and 32, and a road-line of the said block, a distance of 17756.8 links; and proceeding thence in a south-westerly direction for a distance of 12425 links, to an
irregular-shaped piece of land hereinbefore described.

Be all the aforesaid linkages more or less; as the said
areas are all in the Auckland Land District, and are delineated upon the plan marked S.G. 17661, deposited in the
Head Office of the Department of Lands and Survey, in
Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon
coloured red.

Notifying Land in Auckland for Sale by Public Auction.

GLASGOW, Governor.

IN pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred upon
me by the one hundred and thirteenth section of "The
Land Act, 1892," I, David, Earl of Glasgow, the Governor
of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby appoint Friday,
the eighteenth day of December, one thousand eight hundred
and ninety-six, as the time at which the land enumerated in
the Schedule hereto shall be sold by public auction; and I
do hereby fix the price at which the said land shall be sold
as that mentioned in the said Schedule hereto following
the description of such land.

SCHEDULE.

AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT. - HOBSON COUNTY. - PARISH OF
OKAHU.

SECTIONS N.E. 149, S.W. 155, and 154: 123 acres 2 roods;
upset price, Β£311.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor,
this twenty-first day of October, one thousand
eight hundred and ninety-six.

Land in Canterbury withdrawn from Sale and Selection
under Part III. of "The Land Act, 1892."

GLASGOW, Governor.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon
me by the sixth section of "The Land Act, 1892," I,
David, Earl of Glasgow, the Governor of the Colony of New
Zealand, do hereby declare that, from and after the day
of the date hereof, the notification issued on the twentieth
day of February, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-four, opening land for sale or selection under the provisions
of Part III. of "The Land Act, 1892," shall be and the
same is hereby revoked in so far as it relates to the sections
of land enumerated in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT.

SECTION 36407, Blocks VII. and XI., Waihao Survey District, 283 acres and 35 perches.

Unsurveyed section in Blocks III., VII., and VIII.,
Waihao Survey District, 140 acres.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor,
this seventh day of November, one thousand eight
hundred and ninety-six.
