Rural Lands in Wellington open for Sale or Selection.

GLASGOW, Governor.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the one hundred and thirty-sixth section of “The Land Act, 1892,” I, David, Earl of Glasgow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, having received the report of the Surveyor-General in this behalf, as in the said section is provided, do hereby declare that the rural lands enumerated in the Schedule hereto shall be open for sale or selection on and after the ninth day of December, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-six; and also that the lands mentioned in the said Schedule may, at the option of the applicant, be purchased for cash, or be selected for occupation with right of purchase or on lease in perpetuity, or, in respect of any land containing or supposed to contain any metal, mineral, or valuable stone, be selected on lease in perpetuity only: and I do hereby also fix the prices at which the said lands shall be sold, occupied, or leased, as mentioned in the said Schedule hereto, and do declare that the said lands shall be sold, occupied, or leased under and subject to the provisions of “The Land Act, 1892.”

Trustee for Hampden Cemetery appointed.

GLASGOW, Governor.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the sixth section of “The Cemeteries Act, 1882,” I, David, Earl of Glasgow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby appoint

ARCHIBALD ALEXANDER MCWILLIAM

to be a Trustee, in theplace of Neil Campbell, resigned, to provide for the maintenance and care of the Hampden Cemetery, in conjunction with the other persons previously appointed by warrants under the hand of His Excellency the Governor.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this fourteenth day of October, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-six.

Postmaster appointed to take and receive Statutory Declarations.

PURSUANT to the authority conferred upon me by the eighth section of “The Justices of the Peace Act Amendment Act, 1888,” I, David, Earl of Glasgow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby notify and declare that

WILLIAM JABEZ WHITE,

being a person holding the office of Postmaster, under “The Post Office Act, 1881,” at Kekerangu, is authorised to take and receive statutory declarations under the two hundred and thirty-fourth section of “The Justices of the Peace Act, 1882.”

As witness my hand, this twentieth day of October, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-six.
