Powers delegated to the Cambridge Domain Board under
"The Public Domains Act, 1881."

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this twelfth
day of October, 1896.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
IN exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities
vested in him by "The Public Domains Act, 1881," His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand,
by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council
thereof, doth hereby revoke a certain Order in Council,
dated the fourteenth day of October, one thousand eight hun-
dred and eighty-four, making delegation of certain powers
in manner as therein appears; and doth, with the like
advice and consent, by this present Order, delegate, but
only with respect to the pieces or parcels of land described
in the Schedule hereto, all the powers conferred by the
Act aforesaid, except the powers under or conferred by
sections five and twelve thereof, to the under-mentioned
persons, who shall be known as the Cambridge Public
Domain Board, namely,--
THOMAS WELLS,
ROBERT KIRKWOOD,
JOHN FISHER,
EDWARD HEWITT, and
THE CHAIRMAN OF THE PUKEKURA ROAD BOARD.
(hereinafter referred to as "the Board"), subject to the
stipulations hereinafter contained, that is to say,--
- The Board shall meet for the transaction of business on
the first Saturday in each month, at four o'clock p.m., at the
Town Board Office, Cambridge, or at such other time or
place as may from time to time be fixed by the Board.
The first meeting shall be held on Saturday, the seventh
day of November, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-
six. - Special meetings may be convened by the Chairman or
by any two members of the Board, provided that two days'
notice of such meeting be given to each member, specifying
the business to be transacted at such special meeting; and
no other business than that so specified shall be transacted
at such meeting. - Any three of the said Board shall form a quorum.
Any meeting may be adjourned from time to time. - The members of the Board shall, at their first meeting,
and thereafter at an annual meeting to be held on the first
Monday in January in every succeeding year thereafter,
elect one of themselves to be Chairman, who may join in the
discussion, and shall have an original as well as a casting
vote. The Chairman shall hold office until the election of
his successor. - If at any meeting the Chairman is not present at the
time appointed for holding the same, the members present
shall choose some one of their number to be chairman of
such meeting. - If, by resignation, death, or incapacity, or otherwise,
the office of Chairman shall be or become vacant, the mem-
bers may at any monthly or special meeting appoint a
Chairman. - All questions shall be determined by the majority of
votes of the members of the Board present at a meeting.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that parcel of land in the Parish of Hautapu, Cambridge
Survey District, Auckland Land District, known as the
Cambridge East Town Belt, and comprising all the land
lying between the granted boundaries of Rural Sections
Nos. 161, 1, 18, 184, 195, 196, 209, 210, 215, 216, 230, and
235, Parish of Hautapu, and the sections comprised in the
Town of Cambridge East proper, containing 426 acres,
more or less.
Also, all that parcel of land, containing by admeasurement
41 acres 2 roods, more or less, being Lot No. 576 of the
Town of Cambridge East, Parish of Hautapu, Cambridge
Survey District, Auckland Land District. Bounded towards
the north by Thornton Road, 3793 links; towards the east
by Albert Street, 977 links; towards the south by Whitaker
Terrace, 3443 links; and towards the west by Victoria
Street, 762 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less.
Also, all that parcel of land, containing by admeasurement
347 acres, more or less, being called or known as the Town
Belt of Cambridge West, in the Parish of Pukekura, Cam-
bride Survey District, Auckland Land District. Bounded
towards the north by the Waikato River, 2080 links; thence
generally easterly by Rural Sections Nos. 120, 121, 122, 124,
125, 126, and 151, Parish of Pukekura, 12787 links; thence
generally southerly by Rural Sections Nos. 151, 170, 169,
168, 167, 166, and 165, Parish of Pukekura aforesaid, 9204
links; thence generally westerly by Rural Sections Nos. 20,
24, 21, 21A, and 20B of the aforesaid parish, 12524 links;
thence again northerly by the Waikato River, 2300 links;
thence again generally easterly by Town Sections Nos. 571,
579, 567, 436, 180, 181, 182, 183, 184, 185, 186, 187, 188, 189,
190, and 191, by Shelley Street, again by Town Sections
Nos. 562, 561, 560, and 559, thence by Thompson Street
and Shelley Street, 11345 links; thence again northerly by
Lamb Street, 7105 links; thence again generally westerly
