District Lands and Survey Office, Wellington, 1st September, 1896.
NOTICE is hereby given, in terms of “The Land Act, 1892,” that the under-mentioned sections will be offered by public auction, at the upset price noted opposite to each, at this office, on Wednesday, the 14th October, 1896, at 11 a.m.

Weighted with £134 for improvements. This section is situated on the main street of Levin Township, close to the Post-office, school, and the main business part of the town. It consists of fair soil on a shingle formation, and is open land.

This section is weighted with £90 for improvements. It is situated in the Tiraumea Valley, near the Township of Kaitawa, about five and a half or six miles from Pahiatua. The road is made and metalled up to and past the section. The soil is fair to good, and the grass on the cleared portion luxuriant. The bush which remains is heavy, with dense undergrowth. Although there is no extent of flat land, the slopes are very gentle and of no height. The section is within one mile of the Kaitawa Creamery and store, and half a mile of the public school.
Terms of Sale.—One-fifth of the purchase-money, together with the amount with which the section is weighted for improvements, to be paid on the fall of the hammer, and the balance, together with £1, Crown-grant fee on Section 45, Levin Village Settlement, and £1 0s. 1d. on Section 19, Block VIII., Makuri, within thirty days thereafter, otherwise the part of the purchase-money paid by way of deposit shall be forfeited, and the contract for the sale of the land shall be null and void.

This section is situated between the properties of Messrs. Ritchie, Wilson, and McGiffert, at Stony Creek, between Ashley and Sefton—the distances from those places being respectively about three miles and a half and two miles—and comprises open, level agricultural land of good quality.
Note.—This section has no independent means of access, and no liability is accepted by or on behalf of the Government to provide access for the purchaser of the land.
Akaroa County, Pigeon Bay Survey District.

This section is situated adjacent to the properties of Messrs. Jenson, Field, and Parkinson, at the head of the Kaituna Valley, about ten miles from the Kaituna Railway-station, on the Little River branch line of railway. The land lies at an elevation of about 2,000ft. above sea-level, and consists of broken hillside with south-westerly aspect; the soil is good, and is capable of growing cocksfoot grass, with which it has already been surface-sown. The whole of the section has originally been covered with bush, a small patch of which is still standing.
Terms of Sale.—A deposit of one-fifth of the purchase-money shall be paid on the fall of the hammer, and the balance, together with a Crown-grant fee of £1, within thirty days thereafter, or the deposit will be forfeited and the sale cancelled.

FOR SALE BY AUCTION.
Onamalutu Survey District.—On Langley Dale Run.
Section 14, Block XI.: 550 acres; upset price, £275; weighted with £41 10s., cost of survey, and £200, value of improvements.
Description of Land.—About 40 acres undulating country, balance broken; pastoral, good soil in valleys; well watered; 400 acres bush, remainder grass, fern, and scrub; distance, sixteen miles from Blenheim. Accessible partly by main road and partly by unformed road.
One-fifth of the purchase-money must be paid on the fall of the hammer, and the balance, with Crown-grant fee, within thirty days, or the deposit at auction will be forfeited.
PASTORAL LICENSE UNDER PART VI., “THE LAND ACT, 1892.”
Run No. 49, Clifford Bay Survey District: 400 acres; annual rent, £7; term, five years. Half a year’s rent and £1 1s. license-fee must be paid on the fall of the hammer.
Description of Land.—Boulder-bank at mouth of Wairau River; stony land, with patches of grass and rushes. About ten miles from Blenheim by road or river.
Possession will be given on 1st March, 1897.
The license to contain a condition providing for free ingress and egress for picnic and shooting parties.

IN THE NATIVE LAND COURT OF
NEW ZEALAND.
In the matter of “The Native Land Court Act, 1894,” and of an application by Wikitoria Haara, under section 39 of the said Act, for amendment of the order of the Court made in respect of Subdivision B on the partition of the Tokomaru Block.
WHEREAS the said application was referred by me to the Native Land Court for inquiry and report, and such inquiry was held at Gisborne on the 14th day of September, 1896, before James Booth, Esq., a Commissioner of the said Court: And whereas as the result of such inquiry it appeared that an error had been made in the said order by the inclusion therein of the successors of Wikitoria Kapiti, deceased, and by the omission of the name of Wikitoria Haara :
