Rural Lands in the Auckland Land District open for Sale or Selection.
GLASGOW, Governor.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the one hundred and thirty-sixth section of “The Land Act, 1892,” I, David, Earl of Glasgow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, having received the report of the Surveyor-General in this behalf, as in the said section is provided, do hereby declare that the rural lands described in the Schedule hereto shall be open for sale or selection on and after the twenty-fifth day of November, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-six; and also that the lands mentioned in the said Schedule may, at the option of the applicant, be purchased for cash, or be selected for occupation with right of purchase or on lease in perpetuity, or, in respect of any lands containing or supposed to contain any metal, mineral, or valuable stone, be selected on lease in perpetuity only; and I do hereby also fix the prices at which the said lands shall be sold, occupied, or leased, as mentioned in the said Schedule hereto, and do declare that the said lands shall be sold, occupied, or leased under and subject to the provisions of “The Land Act, 1892.”
SCHEDULE.
AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—RAGLAN COUNTY.
Unsurveyed Second-class Land.
ALL that parcel of land in the Auckland Land District, situate in the Parish of Putataka, and containing approximately 125 acres. Bounded towards the north by land granted to the Church Mission Society; towards the north-east by Sections Nos. 26 and 1 of the Parish of Putataka; towards the south by Section No. 3 of the same parish; and towards the north-west by the Oraeroa Stream to the point of commencement.
Description of land: Open land; situated one mile from Port Waikato.
Cash price, 10s. per acre; occupation with right of purchase, 6d. per acre per annum; lease in perpetuity, 4·8d. per acre per annum.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this seventeenth day of September, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-six.

Unsurveyed Second-class Land.
ALL that parcel of land in the Auckland Land District, situate in Block IX., Waoku Survey District, and containing approximately 700 acres. Bounded towards the north by a forest reserve; towards the east by a right line, being the production in a northerly direction of the eastern boundary of Section No. 75 of Block IX., Waoku Survey District; towards the south by said Section No. 75 and Sections Nos. 74, 65, 64, 63, 46, 45, 44, 43, 42, 41, and 40 of Block IX., Waoku Survey District, and by a public road; and towards the west by the western boundary of Block IX. aforesaid to the point of commencement.
Cash price, 7s. 6d. per acre; occupation with right of purchase, 4·5d. per acre per annum; lease in perpetuity, 3·6d. per acre per annum.
Description: All mixed forest; very broken land.
