Land set apart for Greenlands Improved-farm Special
Settlement, Taranaki Land District.

GLASGOW, Governor.
A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred by
the one hundred and sixty-second section of "The Land
Act, 1892," and of all other powers and authorities enabling
me in this behalf, I, David, Earl of Glasgow, the Governor of
the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare
that the block of land described in the Schedule hereto shall
be and the same is hereby set apart and declared open for
special settlement.
SCHEDULE.
GREENLANDS IMPROVED-FARM SPECIAL SETTLEMENT.
ALL that area in the Taranaki Land District, containing by
admeasurement 603 acres, more or less, situated in Block
XIII., Mimi Survey District, being Sections Nos. 2, 3, 4, 5,
6, and 8. Bounded towards the north generally by Crown
land, the Tooi Road, and Section No. 1; towards the east
generally by the Makarakia Road; towards the south by
Crown land; and towards the west by Crown land and the
Mangatuna Road: the said area being exclusive of roads and
reserves: as the same is delineated upon the plan marked
S.G. 26732, deposited in the Head Office of the Department
of Lands and Survey, at Wellington.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right
Honourable David, Earl of Glasgow; Knight
Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of
Saint Michael and Saint George; Governor and
Commander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty's
Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies;
and issued under the Seal of the said Colony,
at the Government House, at Wellington, this
twelfth day of September, in the year of our
Lord one thousand eight hundred and ninety-six.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by the second section of "The Government
Loans to Local Bodies Act Amendment Act, 1891"
(herein termed "the said Act"), it is, amongst other things,
enacted that, before certain moneys therein mentioned shall
be expended upon any block of land, it shall be necessary
that the same be proclaimed as set apart for settlement:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of every power
and authority enabling me in this behalf, and for the pur-
poses of the said Act, I, David, Earl of Glasgow, the Go-
vernor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim
the block of land described in the Schedule hereto as set
apart for settlement.

me by the one hundred and sixty-eighth section of "The
Land Act, 1892," I, David, Earl of Glasgow, the Governor of
the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare
that the allotments of Crown land respectively described in
the Schedule hereto shall be and the same are hereby set
apart and declared open for lease as village-homestead allot-
ments.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the lands mentioned in the Schedule hereto
are required to be taken, under "The Public Works
Act, 1894," for a certain work, to wit, the deviations of
roads in the Parish of Karaka:
And whereas the Karaka Road Board has laid before the
Governor the memorial, accompanied by a map, required by
the said Act:
Now, therefore, I, David, Earl of Glasgow, the Governor
of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of
the powers and authorities in me vested by "The Public
Works Act, 1894," and of every other power and authority
in anywise enabling me in that behalf, do hereby proclaim
and declare that, from and after the date of the publication
hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, the lands mentioned in
the Schedule hereto are hereby taken for the purposes of the
said deviations.
