A PROCLAMATION.
I
N pursuance of the power and authority conferred upon
me by the one hundred and sixty-eighth section of "The
Land Act, 1892," I, David, Earl of Glasgow, the Governor of
the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare
that the allotments of Crown land respectively described in
the Schedule hereto shall be and the same are hereby set
apart for sale and selection as village allotments under
Part III. of "The Land Act, 1892."

A PROCLAMATION.
W
HEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto
is required to be taken, under "The Public Works
Act, 1894," for the purpose of securing an efficient water-
supply for the use of the Lunatic Asylum at Avondale,
Auckland :
And whereas a plan has been prepared in duplicate show-
ing accurately the position and extent of the said land, and
the Minister for Public Works has recommended that this
Proclamation should be issued, as required by the said Act :
Now, therefore, I, David, Earl of Glasgow, the Governor
of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of
the powers and authorities vested in me by "The Public
Works Act, 1894," and of every other power and authority
in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim
and declare that, from and after the date of the publication
hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, the land mentioned in
the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purpose of
securing an efficient water-supply for the use of the said
Asylum.

Declaring Liver-fluke a Disease for the Purposes of "The
Stock Act, 1893."—Notice No. 448.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this thirty-first
day of August, 1896.

His Excellency the Governor in Council.

N pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
vested in him by "The Stock Act, 1893," His Excel-
lency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, acting
by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council
of the said colony, doth hereby order and declare that the
disease known as liver-fluke, which affects sheep, is a disease
for the purposes of "The Stock Act, 1893," and shall be
subject to the regulations made thereunder, and now in
force ; and it is hereby declared that this Order in Council
shall come into force from and after the date of the publica-
tion hereof in the New Zealand Gazette.

Rural Lands in the Wellington Land District open for Sale
or Selection.

N pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred upon me by the one hundred and thirty-sixth
section of "The Land Act, 1892," I, David, Earl of Glasgow,
the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, having received
the report of the Surveyor-General in this behalf, as in the
said section is provided, do hereby declare that the rural
lands described in the Schedule hereto shall be open for sale
or selection on and after the fourteenth day of October, one
thousand eight hundred and ninety-six ; and also that the
lands mentioned in the said Schedule may, at the option of
the applicant, be purchased for cash, or be selected for occu-
pation with right of purchase or on lease in perpetuity, or, in
respect of any lands containing or supposed to contain any
metal, mineral, or valuable stone, be selected on lease in
perpetuity only ; and I do hereby also fix the prices at which
the said lands shall be sold, occupied, or leased, as men-
tioned in the said Schedule hereto, and do declare that the
said lands shall be sold, occupied, or leased under and subject
to the provisions of "The Land Act, 1892."
SCHEDULE.
WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT.—Wairarapa South County.
Unsurveyed Second-class Land.
All that parcel of land in the Wellington Land District,
situate in Block XIII., Waipawa Survey District, Block XVI.,
Haurangi Survey District, Blocks III., IV., VII., VIII., X.,
and XI., Kaiwaka Survey District, containing approximately
13,700 acres. Bounded only towards the north by the lead-
ing range between Makara and Rough Hill East Trig. Sta-
tions ; towards the east by Sections 188 and 189, Block XIII.,
Waipawa District, Sections 200, 201, 66, 9, and 8, Block IV.,
Kaiwaka District, and Sections 9, 10, 6, 5, 12, 13, 14, and 15,
Block VIII., and Sections 1 and 102, Block XI. ; towards
the south by the sea-coast ; and towards the west by the Te
Kope Waitutumu Block, and by unsurveyed Crown lands.
Cash price, 7s. 6d. to 10s. per acre ; occupation with right
of purchase, 4½d. to 6d. per acre per annum ; lease in per-
petuity, 3·6d. to 4·8d. per acre per annum.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor,
this third day of September, one thousand eight
hundred and ninety-six.
