Land set apart as a Site for a Native Township in the
Wellington Land District.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority
conferred upon me by the third section of "The Native
Townships Act, 1895," I, David, Earl of Glasgow, the
Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim
and declare that the parcel of Native land situated in the
Wellington Land District, and described in the Schedule
hereto, shall be and the same is hereby set apart as a site
for a Native township, and I do also hereby assign the name
of "Pipiriki" to such Native township.
SCHEDULE.
All that parcel of land in the Rarote Survey District, in
the Land District of Wellington, containing about 366 acres,
and bounded as follows: Starting from a peg marked XV.,
near the Rangitikei River, by a line bearing 249° 58' 15",
668·6 links, to a peg marked XXI.; thence by a line bearing
259° 40', 216·7 links, to a peg marked XX.; thence by a line
bearing 263° 50', 307·1 links, to a peg marked XIX.; thence
by a line bearing 236° 5', 1036·4 links, to a peg marked
XVIII.; thence by a line bearing 257° 7', 297·8 links, to a
peg marked XVII.; thence by a line bearing 272° 44', 1182·3
links, to a peg marked XVI.; thence by a line bearing
289° 5', 886·3 links, to a peg marked XV.; thence by a line
bearing 288° 58', 555·7 links, to a peg marked XIV.; thence
by a line bearing 289° 15', 676·1 links, to a peg marked
XIII.; thence by a line bearing 289° 5' 3", 1689·7 links, to
a peg marked XII.; thence by a line bearing 50° 17' 47",

Extending Regulations for netting Trout in the Lakes in
the Canterbury Acclimatisation District.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this tenth day
of August, 1896.
Present:
His Excellency the Governor in Council.
WHEREAS by "The Fisheries Conservation Act, 1884"
(hereinafter termed "the said Act"), it is among other
things enacted that the Governor in Council may from time
to time make, alter, and revoke regulations for the purposes
therein mentioned, which said regulations shall have force
and effect only in any waters or places specified therein: And
whereas by Order in Council dated the nineteenth day of
September, one thousand eight hundred and ninety, certain
regulations were made in exercise and in pursuance of the
powers conferred by the said Act, giving control and manage-
ment to the North Canterbury Acclimatisation Society of all
salmon and trout therein or thereafter to be placed in the
lakes in the district to which such regulations relate, and for
such purpose to divide the lakes in the said district, with the
exception of Lake Ellesmere, into suitable areas, with power
to let the right of fishing such areas as in such regulations
mentioned: And whereas it is expedient to extend such regu-
lations so as to include the right of fishing Lake Ellesmere
in the area which may be let by this Society in the same
manner as the areas mentioned in the said regulations:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony
of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers conferred upon
him by the said Act, and with the advice and consent of the
Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby make the
following regulation, in lieu of and in substitution for Regu-
lation No. 15 in the said Order in Council—namely,—
REGULATION.
The regulations contained in Order in Council of the nine-
teenth day of September, one thousand eight hundred and
