In the matter of “The Companies Act, 1882”; and in the matter of the Brockley Co-operative Coal-mining Company (Limited).

AT an extraordinary general meeting of the members of the above-named company, duly convened, and held at the Oddfellows’ Chambers, Lichfield Street, Christchurch, on the 26th day of June, 1896, the following extraordinary resolution was duly passed: “That it has been proved to the satisfaction of this meeting that the company cannot, by reason of its liabilities, continue its business, and that it is advisable to wind up the same; and accordingly that the company be wound up voluntarily.” And at the same meeting WILLIAM HARTSHORN, of Woolston, Accountant, was appointed Liquidator for the purposes of such winding-up.

I HEREBY give notice that JOHN BAKER, of Puketapu, Farmer, has made application, under the provisions of “The Family Homes Protection Act, 1895,” to have the land described in his said application, situate at Puketapu, near Napier, in the Provincial District of Hawke’s Bay, registered as a “family home”; and that the same will be registered accordingly unless caveat forbidding the same be lodged with me, at the District Lands Registry Office, Napier, by some person claiming to be a creditor of the applicant, within the time limited for that purpose by the said Act.

In the matter of the estate of the late Sir Patrick Buckley, a Judge of the Supreme Court of New Zealand, deceased.

PUBLIC NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND FOR ROAD PURPOSES, BEING PART OF SECTION 3, BLOCK V., GLENOMARU SURVEY DISTRICT.

NOTICE is hereby given that it is the intention of the Clutha County Council, under the provisions of “The Public Works Act, 1894,” to take land for road purposes, being part of Section 3, Block V., Glenomaru Survey District, containing 24·3 perches.

A copy of the plan of the proposed road is open for inspection at the Offices of the Clutha County Council, Clinton, from this date.

All persons affected are hereby called upon to set forth in writing any objections to the execution of such works or to the taking of such land, and to send such writing, within forty days from the date hereof, to the offices of the Clutha County Council, Clinton.
