I, the undersigned, hereby make application to register
the Welcome Gold-mining Company (Limited) as a
limited company under the provisions of "The Mining
Companies Act, 1894."
- The name of the company is to be the Welcome Gold-
mining Company (Limited). - The place of intended operations is at Boatman's, in
the County of Inangahua, in New Zealand, and such other
places as the company may from time to time determine. - The registered office of the company will be situated at
Reefton, in the County of Inangahua. - The nominal capital of the company is one hundred and
ten thousand pounds, in one hundred and ten thousand
shares of one pound each. - The number of shares subscribed for is one hundred
thousand, being not less than two-thirds of the entire num-
ber of shares in the company. - The number of shares issued as paid up is eighty-five
thousand. - The amount already paid up is nil.
- The name of the Manager is Thomas Frederick Fenton.
- The names and addresses and occupations of the share-
holders, and the number of shares held by each at this date,
are as below:—

General Assembly of New Zealand entitled "The Justices
of the Peace Act, 1882."

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO CONSTRUCT WATER-
RACE.
Hauraki, 8th June, 1896.
To the Warden at Te Aroha.
I HEREBY give notice that I intend to construct a water-
race to divert and use water for mining purposes, com-
mencing at a point at Shaftesbury on the north side of the
Waihou River, near a bridge known as Murphy's, with a peg
marked A.
The length of such race is six miles or thereabouts, and its
intended course is westerly on the course of the said river.
The mean depth of such race is 2ft. 6in., and the mean
breadth is 10ft., and it is proposed to divert 400 Government
heads of water.
Cost of construction: £3,000.
Time required for construction: Twelve months.
Number and date of miner's right: 3755; 8th June, 1896.

Commission Agent, and John Henry Porter, also of Auck-
land, Company Manager, are the duly-appointed Attorneys
of the Hauraki N.Z. Associated Gold Reefs (Limited),
whose head office is at Winchester House, Old Broad Street,
London. - That certified copies of the power of attorney appoint-
ing the said Malcolm Niccol and John Henry Porter, and of
the certificate of incorporation of the said company, have
been deposited in the office of the Registrar of the Supreme
Court of New Zealand, Northern District, at Auckland. - That the office or place of business of the said com-
pany in New Zealand is at 26, Shortland Street, Auckland,
aforesaid.
