Rural Lands in the Otago Land District open for Sale or Selection.

GLASGOW, Governor.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the one hundred and thirty-sixth section of "The Land Act, 1892," I, David, Earl of Glasgow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, having received the report of the Surveyor-General in this behalf, as in the said section is provided, do hereby declare that the rural lands enumerated in the Schedule hereto shall be open for sale or selection on and after the nineteenth day of August, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-six; and also that the lands mentioned in the said Schedule may, at the option of the applicant, be purchased for cash, or be selected for occupation with right of purchase or on lease in perpetuity, or, in respect of any lands containing or supposed to contain any metal, mineral, or valuable stone, be selected on lease in perpetuity only; and I do hereby also fix the prices at which the said lands shall be sold, occupied, or leased, as mentioned in the said Schedule hereto, and do declare that the said lands shall be sold, occupied, or leased under and subject to the provisions of "The Land Act, 1892."

Bush land of rather a hilly nature, fronting Catlin's River, and situated one mile from Houipapa School, and about seven miles from Owaka Railway-station. Valuation for improvements, £56 10s.

" Open land of fair quality, situated close to Mount Barker, about three miles from Pembroke, and the same distance from Albert Town. Valuation for improvements, to be lodged with the application or paid immediately the result of the ballot is declared, £146 17s. 6d. The five sections are grouped, and offered as one allotment.

Notice of Appointment of Members of Board of Conciliation for the Nelson Industrial District.

GLASGOW, Governor.

WHEREAS at the time fixed for the first election of members of the Board of Conciliation for the Nelson Industrial District, to wit, the twenty-eighth day of February, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-six, the prescribed number of members was not duly elected as provided by "The Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Act, 1894": Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by section six of "The Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Act Amendment Act, 1895," I,

David, Earl of Glasgow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby, for the purpose of making up the prescribed number, appoint the following persons, that is to say,

WILLIAM THORNTON BOND, of Nelson, Printer;

PETER COOKE, of Nelson, Boot-manufacturer;

THOMAS DOIDGE, of Nelson, Joiner; and

JOHN EASTDALE, of Nelson, Mariner,

to be members of the Board of Conciliation for the said district.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this twelfth day of June, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-six.
