Private Advertisements.

In the matter of “The Mercantile Law Act, 1880”; and in the matter of a Partnership between Robert West England, John Waller, and Otto Peterson.

WE, the undersigned Robert West England, John Waller, and Otto Peterson, do hereby certify that we have this day entered into a special Partnership under the provisions of the above-mentioned Act, and that—

  1. The style of the firm under which the Partnership is to be conducted is “Otto Peterson and Company.”

  2. The names and places of residence of all the partners are as follows:—

(a.) Robert West England, of Holly Road, near Christchurch, Timber Merchant, a special partner.

(b.) John Waller, of Papanui Road, near Christchurch, Timber Merchant, a special partner.

(c.) Otto Peterson, of Greymouth, Sawmiller, a general partner.

  1. The amount of capital which each partner contributes to the common stock is four hundred pounds.

  2. The general nature of the business to be transacted is the erection or acquisition of a sawmill or sawmills, and the conducting of sawmilling operations.

  3. The principal place at which the business is to be transacted is Katuku, near Greymouth aforesaid.

  4. The said Partnership is to commence on the twenty-third day of May, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-six, and to terminate on the twenty-third day of May, one thousand nine hundred and three; but any two partners are to have the right to terminate the Partnership at any time by giving at least three months’ notice in writing to the other of them if they consider the business is not paying.

Dated at Christchurch, this twenty-third day of May, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-six.

I, HENRY CLAYTON BREWER, Registrar of the Supreme Court of New Zealand for the Northern District at Auckland, do hereby notify that an affidavit, a copy of which is hereunder given, by Hugh Falconer Anderson and Charles Burrell Stone, two Directors of the Auckland Fibre Manufacturing Company (Limited), has been lodged in the Magistrate’s Court at Auckland, and forwarded to me, and that unless notice of objection be lodged with me within sixty days of this date, I shall proceed to declare the said company to be dissolved, in manner provided by “The Companies Act, 1882.”

WE, HUGH FALCONER ANDERSON, Ship-chandler, and CHARLES BURRELL STONE, Agent, both of Auckland, in New Zealand, two of the Directors of the Auckland Fibre Manufacturing Company (Limited), incorporated under “The Joint-stock Companies Act, 1860,” severally make oath and say,—1. That the nominal capital of the said company is £25,000, in 25,000 shares of one pound (£1) each. 2. That the shares have been fully paid up. 3. That the company has no assets, and has ceased to carry on its operations. And we, the said Hugh Falconer Anderson and Charles Burrell Stone, do hereby apply for a declaration of dissolution of such company.

IN THE SUPREME COURT OF NEW ZEALAND, WELLINGTON DISTRICT.

In the matter of “The Companies Act, 1882,” and the amendments thereof; and in the matter of the Langstones Sheep-medicine Company (Limited).

THE creditors of the above-named company are required, on or before the 26th day of June, 1896, to send their names and addresses, and the particulars of their debts or claims, and the names and addresses of their solicitors (if any), to Robert Howe, of Greytown, Clerk, the Official Liquidator of the said company; and, if so required by notice in writing from the said Official Liquidator, are by their solicitors to come in and prove their said debts or claims at the Registrar’s Office, in the Supreme Court House at Wellington, at such time as shall be specified in such notice; or, in default thereof, they will be excluded from the benefit of any distribution made before such debts are proved.

Monday, the 27th day of July, 1896, at 11 o’clock in the forenoon, at the Registrar’s said office, is appointed for hearing and adjudicating upon the debts and claims.

SUBSCRIPTIONS.—The subscription is at the rate of 30s. per annum, PAYABLE IN ADVANCE. A less period than three months cannot be subscribed for.

Single copies of the Gazette, 6d. each.

Advertisements are charged at the rate of 6d. per line for the first insertion and 3d. per line for the second and any subsequent insertion.

Statements under the Mining Act are uniformly charged 23s.

All advertisements should be written on one side of the paper, and signatures, &c., should be written in a legible hand.

The number of insertions required must be written across the face of the advertisement.

The New Zealand Gazette is published on Thursday evening in each week, and notices for insertion must be received by the Government Printer before three o’clock of the day preceding publication.

Communications should be addressed to the Government Printer, Wellington, to whom post-office money-orders should be made payable. Cheques should be crossed “Public a/c,” and exchange added.

Postage- or duty-stamps cannot be received in payment from any place at which postal notes or post-office orders are issued.

Prepayment may be demanded in any case. In order to prevent delay in publication a sufficient remittance should accompany every advertisement. Any surplus will be returned with receipted account.
