Notice of the Laying-off of Roads over Lands in the Wellington Land District.

NOTICE is hereby given, by direction of His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, under the authority of "The Native Land Court Act, 1886," that the roads described in the Schedule hereto were, in February and July, 1892, January, April, and September, 1893, June and November, 1894, and October, 1895, duly taken and laid off through the lands specified in the said Schedule, under the authority of the Governor of the said colony, by warrants dated the 4th November, 1891, 10th December, 1891, 14th June, 1892, 12th December, 1892, 19th December, 1892, 1st September, 1893, and 27th June, 1894.

Local Board of Health, Rotorua.

NOTICE is hereby given that, in exercise of the powers vested in it by the fourteenth section of "The Public Health Act, 1876," the Central Board of Health has appointed

STEPHEN THOMAS BRENT, of Rotorua,
GERHARD MUELLER, of Auckland, and
ROGER DELAMERE DANSEY, of Rotorua,

to be a Local Board of Health for the District of Rotorua, as the same is hereinafter described, that is to say, all that area in the Auckland Land District situated in the Survey Districts of Rotorua, Horohoro, and Tarawera, and bounded towards the north-east by Lake Rotorua; towards the east generally by the summit of the eastern watershed of Purenga Stream; towards the south and south-west by the summit of the southern watershed of Purenga Stream and of Utuhina Stream; and towards the north-west generally by the summit of the north-west watershed of Utuhina Stream: as the said area is delineated upon the plan marked S.G. 28426, deposited in the Head Office of the Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured red.

Bonus for the Production of Quicksilver.

Mines Office,
Wellington, 19th September, 1895.

NOTICE is hereby given that a bonus of fourpence (4d.) per pound will be paid on the production of the first one hundred thousand pounds weight (100,000lb.) of good marketable retorted quicksilver, free from all impurities, from any mine in New Zealand, on the following conditions, that is to say:β€”

  1. That at least one-third of the quantity is produced on or before the 31st March, 1897, and the remaining two-thirds on or before the 31st March, 1899.

  2. No bonus will be payable until the whole of the one hundred thousand pounds (100,000lb.) of quicksilver has been produced as stipulated to the satisfaction of an officer to be appointed by the Minister of Mines, and on whose certificate alone the bonus will be paid.

  3. In the event of more than one person producing the required quantities of quicksilver before the dates named, inquiry will be made by the officer above referred to, when, if it is found that each applicant is equally entitled to a bonus, the amount will be divided in proportion to the quantities produced by each applicant, but in no case shall any bonus be paid until at least one hundred thousand pounds (100,000lb.) of quicksilver has been produced in the aggregate.
