NOTICE OF INTENTION TO CONSTRUCT WATER-RACE.

"THE MINING ACT, 1891."

Dunstan (Otago) Mining District,
1st October, 1895.

To the Warden at Black's.

WE hereby give notice that we intend to construct a
water-race to divert and use water for mining pur-
poses, commencing at a point at Leahy's Creek, on Dunstan
Range, about one mile below Golden Gate Race, passing
through Mr. John Hamilton's farm, and terminating at our
claim near Chatto Creek. The water will be returned to Chatto
Creek about one mile above the Molyneux Company's race.
The length of such race is six miles or thereabouts, and
its intended course is southerly.
The mean depth of such race is 1ft. 2in., and the mean
breadth is 2ft. 6in.; and it is proposed to divert three
Government heads of water.
Cost of construction: £150.
Time required for construction: One year.

No. 3572, 28th September, 1895; John H. Vercoe, No. 3573,
28th September, 1895.

I, Robert Algernon Fox, Bachelor of Medicine and Mas-
ter of Surgery, Edinburgh University, now residing
in Dunedin, hereby give notice that I intend applying on
the 13th December, 1895, to have my name placed on
the Medical Register for the Colony of New Zealand, and
that I have deposited the evidence of my qualification in the
office of the Registrar of Births and Deaths at Dunedin.

THE DEVONPORT STEAM FERRY COMPANY
(LIMITED).

AT an extraordinary general meeting of the members of
the above-named company, duly convened, and held
at the Borough Council Chambers, Devonport, Auckland,
New Zealand, on the 26th day of September, 1895, the sub-
joined special resolution was duly passed; and at a subse-
quent extraordinary general meeting of the members of the
said company, also duly convened, and held at the same
place on the 14th day of October, 1895, the said resolution
was duly confirmed:—
"That the Devonport Steam Ferry Company (Limited)
be wound up voluntarily, and that Ewen William Alison be
appointed Liquidator thereof."

APPLICATION having been made to me, under sec-
tion 28 of "The Life Assurance Policies Act, 1884,"
for the issue of a copy of the policy on the life of Peter
Stewart Hay, of Napier, and late of Wellington, Police
Constable, numbered 73372 in the books of the Government
Insurance Commissioner, and evidence having been supplied
as to the loss of the original, I hereby give notice that I
shall issue a copy as requested unless notice be lodged
forbidding the same on or before the 21st day of December,
1895.

COOK COUNTY COUNCIL.

NOTICE is hereby given that this Council proposes to
execute a public work—viz., the construction of a
main drain through the Muhunga Block—and to take for
that purpose the lands described in the accompanying
Schedule. The owners of the lands affected are Messrs.
A. B. Newman, J. Hamon, W. King, A. Hatten, P. Mona-
ghan, T. Davies, the Trustees of the Ormond Cemetery, and
the Ormond Domain Board.
All persons affected by the construction of the proposed
drain are required to state their objections in writing, and
send the writing to the office of the Cook County Council,
Gisborne, on or before the 14th day of December, 1895.
A plan of the lands to be taken and general description of
the work may be seen at the offices of the Cook County
Council, Gisborne, and of the Ormond Road Board, Ormond,
during office-hours.

NOTICE.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership business
heretofore carried on by the undersigned at Awahuri
as Carters, under the style or firm of "Coyle Bros.," has
been dissolved as and from the 11th day of November, 1895.
All debts and liabilities due to the said firm must be paid to
George Henry and William Coyle, who alone are authorised
to receive the same, and who will also pay all claims against
the said partnership firm.

NOTICE OF DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership which has
for some time past been carried on by George Adsett
and David Hugh Roberts under the style or firm of "H.
Adsett and Son," at Pohangina, in the trade or business of
Sawmillers and Timber Merchants, has been dissolved by
mutual consent as from the 1st day of November, 1895. All
accounts due from the late firm will be paid by the said
George Adsett.
