Land declared to be Crown Land subject to “The Land for
Settlements Act, 1894.”

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto
has been acquired under the provisions of “The
Land for Settlements Act, 1894” (hereinafter termed “the
said Act”), and the purchase thereof has been concluded as
by the said Act is provided: And whereas it is enacted by
the said Act that all land so acquired shall be proclaimed as
Crown land subject to the provisions of the said Act:
Now, therefore, I, David, Earl of Glasgow, the Governor
of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of
the power and authority conferred by the said Act, do hereby
proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule
hereto shall, on the date of the publication hereof in the
New Zealand Gazette, be and be deemed to be Crown land
subject to the provisions of “The Land for Settlements Act,
1894.”
SCHEDULE.
ASHLEY GORGE ESTATE.
All that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing
by admeasurement 433 acres 2 roods 8 perches, more or less,
situated in Block IV., Oxford Survey District, and being
Sections Nos. 21713, 32765, and 32763, and parts of Sections
Nos. 32764 and 23244.
Also all that area in the Canterbury Land District, con-
taining by admeasurement 732 acres 2 roods 16 perches,
more or less, situated in Block IV., Oxford Survey District,
and in Block I., Mairaki Survey District, and being Sections
Nos. 20778, 20780, 10836, 5272, 9595, 5274, and 8260, and
parts of Sections Nos. 8263, 12470, 11307, 8262, 12472, and
8261.
As the above-described areas are delineated upon a plan
marked S.G. 19054, deposited in the Head Office of the
Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, in the
Wellington Land District, and thereon edged with red.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right
Honourable David, Earl of Glasgow; Knight
Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of
Saint Michael and Saint George; Governor and
Commander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty's
Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies;
and issued under the Seal of the said Colony,
at the Government House, at Wellington, this
twenty-third day of October, in the year of our
Lord one thousand eight hundred and ninety-five.

Grazing-runs under “The Land Act, 1892,” and “The Land
for Settlements Act, 1894.”

A PROCLAMATION.
BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities
vested in me by the one hundred and seventy-second
section of “The Land Act, 1892,” and of every other power
and authority enabling me in that behalf, I, David, Earl of
Glasgow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do
hereby declare that the lands mentioned in the Schedule
hereto shall be subject to the provisions of “The Land
for Settlements Act, 1894,” and of sections one hundred and
seventy-two to one hundred and eighty-six of Part V. of
“The Land Act, 1892,” relating to small grazing-runs.
SCHEDULE.
CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT.
Ashley County, Oxford Survey District, Ashley Gorge Estate.
Section 1, Block IV., and Run No. 148: 1,325 acres 1 rood
3 perches.
Section 2, Blocks IV. and III., and Run No. 147: 915 acres
2 roods 2 perches.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right
Honourable David, Earl of Glasgow, Knight
Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of
Saint Michael and Saint George; Governor and
Commander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty's
Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies;
and issued under the Seal of the said Colony,

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority
vested in the Governor by “The Marriage Act, 1880,”
I, David, Earl of Glasgow, the Governor of the Colony of
New Zealand, do hereby abolish the existing marriage dis-
trict known as the Masterton District, and do proclaim and
declare that the territory heretofore comprised within the
said district is hereby divided anew into two marriage
