Section 4, about two-thirds flat, remainder terraces and hills, fair soil; bush, chiefly matai and white-pine; birch and rimu on hills. Sections 14 and 15, Block VI., are about fourteen miles from Collingwood by the Aorere Valley Road. Section 4, Block X., about seventeen miles, and Section 6, Block IX., about nineteen miles, by the same road.

Fixing Shooting Season for Deer, License-fee, &c., Nelson District.

IN exercise of the powers vested in me by "The Animals Protection Act, 1880," and the Acts amending the same, I, David, Earl of Glasgow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby notify that red deer stags and fallow deer bucks may be taken or killed within the Nelson District, comprising the Counties of Waimea, Buller, and Collingwood, from the sixteenth day of February, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-five, to the eighth day of April, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-five, both inclusive (subject, nevertheless, to the restrictions in the said Acts mentioned). And I do further notify that licenses to take or kill such game within the said district shall be issued on payment of the sum of twenty shillings each, and that licenses to sell such game shall be issued on payment of the sum of five pounds each; and the Chief Postmaster at Nelson and the Postmaster at Westport are hereby appointed to issue the said licenses.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this thirtieth day of January, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-five.

PURSUANT to the authority conferred upon me by the eighth section of "The Justices of the Peace Act Amendment Act, 1888," I, David, Earl of Glasgow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby notify and declare that

being a person holding the office of Postmaster under "The Post Office Act, 1881," at Waikanae, is authorised to take and receive statutory declarations under the two hundred and thirty-fourth section of "The Justices of the Peace Act, 1882."
