Land temporarily reserved in the Land District of Westland.
GLASGOW, Governor.
WHEREAS by the two hundred and thirty-fifth section
of "The Land Act, 1892," it is enacted that the
Governor may from time to time, either by general or parti-
cular description, and whether the same has been surveyed
or not, reserve from sale temporarily, notwithstanding that
the same may be then held under pastoral license, any
Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of
the purposes in the said section mentioned :
Now, therefore, I, David, Earl of Glasgow, the Governor
of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of
the powers and authorities vested in me by the said Act, do
hereby temporarily reserve from sale the lands in the Land
District of Westland described in the Schedule hereunder
written, for the purposes in the said Schedule specified at
the end of the description of the lands so intended to be
temporarily reserved.
SCHEDULE.
All that area, containing by admeasurement 3 roods and 30·6
perches, more or less, bounded towards the north-west by
the Greymouth-Hokitika Railway land ; towards the east by
a line bearing 173° 9' 35" from peg 13M/15c on the said rail-
way-line, 602·6 links; towards the south-east by a line bearing
239° 8', 100 links; and towards the south-west by a line
bearing 329° 8', 386·1 links, to the said railway-line.
Also, all that area, containing by admeasurement 30 acres
and 33·6 perches, more or less, being a strip of land 100 links
wide, the centre line of which commences at the middle of the
line bearing 239° 8', and 100 links long, mentioned in foregoing
description, and extends on the following bearings and dis-
tances—keeping 1 chain distant from and parallel to the
centre line of the Kumara Beach Road—149° 8', 1039·6 links,
135° 38', 5595·7 links, 136° 9', 8131·4 links, 136° 32', 3910·8
links, 136° 12', 10050·1 links, and bearing 140° 54' to a point
distant 1800 links from the north-west side of Cashman
Street, Kumara Borough, a distance of 1482·2 links, more or
less.
Also, all that area, containing by admeasurement 7 acres
and 32 perches, more or less, abutting on the last-described
piece of land, bounded towards the south-west by a line
bearing 140° 54', and being parallel to and distant 50 links
from the middle of the said Kumara Beach Road, 1800 links ;
towards the north-west by a line bearing 50° 54' (part of which
abuts on the last-described area), 400 links; towards the
north-east by a line parallel to the centre line of the said
road, 1800 links, to Cashman Street ; and towards the south-
east by Cashman Street, 400 links : be all the above linkages
more or less.
For railway purposes.
As the said parcels of land are delineated upon plans
marked S.G. 26839, 26839A, 26839B, 26839C, and 26839D, de-
posited in the Head Office of the Department of Lands and
Survey, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and
thereon edged with red.

this twenty-third day of October, one thousand
eight hundred and ninety-five.

Fixing Sittings, District Court.
GLASGOW, Governor.
IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority in
this behalf enabling me, I, David, Earl of Glasgow, the
Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby fix and
appoint that sittings of the District Court of Taranaki for
civil and criminal business shall be held in the Borough
Council Chambers at Hawera on the second Wednesday in
January, March, May, July, September, and November in
every year :
Provided that, in case any of the days so fixed as aforesaid
shall happen to be a holiday, then the Court appointed for
that day shall be holden on the first day thereafter not being
a holiday.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor,
this twenty-sixth day of October, one thousand
eight hundred and ninety-five.

Trustees for the Maintenance of the Arundel Public Cemetery
appointed.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
vested in me by the sixth section of "The Cemeteries
Act, 1882," I, David, Earl of Glasgow, the Governor of the
Colony of New Zealand, do hereby appoint the several per-
sons whose names are specified in the first column of the
Schedule hereto to be Trustees to provide for the mainten-
ance and care of the public cemetery specified in the second
column of the said Schedule.
