Rural Land in the Otago Land District open for Selection on Lease in Perpetuity.

GLASGOW, Governor.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by "The Land for Settlements Act, 1894," and the one hundred and thirty-sixth section of "The Land Act, 1892," I, David, Earl of Glasgow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, having received the report of the Surveyor-General in this behalf, as in the said one hundred and thirty-sixth section is provided, do hereby declare that the rural lands enumerated in the Schedule hereto shall be open for selection on and after the fourth day of December, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-five, and that the said lands may be selected on lease in perpetuity, subject to the provisions of "The Land Act, 1892"; and I do hereby declare that the rentals at which the said lands shall be leased shall be those mentioned in the said Schedule hereto opposite the description of such lands respectively.

Level and gently sloping ground towards the north. Soil good, on old alluvial and limestone formations. No water on allotment, but first-class water to which there is access within 20 chains. Accessible by formed roads one mile and three-quarters to Duntroon Township and Railway-station. In wheat and oat stubble from 1895 crop, and laid down in grass. West boundary fenced, 26 chains. Altitude, 480ft. to 600ft.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this seventeenth day of October, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-five.
