Rural Lands in the Taranaki Land District open for Sale or Selection.
GLASGOW, Governor.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the one hundred and thirty-sixth section
of "The Land Act, 1892," I, David, Earl of Glasgow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, having received the
report of the Surveyor-General in this behalf, as in the said section is provided, do hereby declare that the rural
lands enumerated in the Schedule hereto shall be open for sale or selection on and after the twenty-seventh day of November,
one thousand eight hundred and ninety-five; and also that the lands mentioned in the said Schedule may, at the option
of the applicant, be purchased for cash, or be selected for occupation with right of purchase or on lease in perpetuity, or,
in respect of any lands containing or supposed to contain any metal, mineral, or valuable stone, be selected on lease in
perpetuity only ; and I do hereby also fix the prices at which the said lands shall be sold, occupied, or leased, as mentioned
in the said Schedule hereto, and do declare that the said lands shall be sold, occupied, or leased under and subject to the
provisions of "The Land Act, 1892."

Land temporarily reserved in the Land District of Taranaki.
GLASGOW, Governor.
WHEREAS by the two hundred and thirty-fifth section
of "The Land Act, 1892," it is enacted that the
Governor may from time to time, either by general or par-
ticular description, and whether the same has been surveyed
or not, reserve from sale temporarily, notwithstanding that
the same may be then held under pastoral license, any
Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of
the purposes in the said section mentioned :
Now, therefore, I, David, Earl of Glasgow, the Governor
of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of
the powers and authorities vested in me by the said Act, do
hereby temporarily reserve from sale the lands in the Land
District of Taranaki described in the Schedule hereunder
written, for the purposes in the said Schedule specified at
the end of the description of the lands so intended to be
temporarily reserved.
SCHEDULE.
All that parcel of land in the Taranaki Land District,
containing by admeasurement 29 acres, more or less, being
Section No. 488, Patea District, Carlyle Survey District.
Bounded on the north by Sections Nos. 565, 566, and railway
reserve, 5529 links; on the east by the Wilson Road, 1100-5
links; and on the south by the Hukatere Road and Section
No. 565, 5494 links: save and except a railway reserve
through said section, containing by admeasurement 2 acres
and 33 perches, more or less, bounded on the north by
Section No. 566 and railway reserve, 673-1 links, bearing
297° 39'; on the east by part said Section No. 488, 771 links,
bearing 337° 56'; on the south-west by the Hukatere Road,
700 links, bearing 309° 52'; and on the west by part of said
Section No. 488, 559-5 links, bearing 336° 26'.
All that parcel of land in the Taranaki Land District,
containing by admeasurement 43 acres, more or less, being
Section No. 489, Patea District, Carlyle Survey District.
Bounded on the north by Section No. 567 and river reserve,
3579 links; on the east by the Patea River and part Section
No. 490, 525-2 links; on the south by part said Section
No. 490, 1170 links, and the Hukatere Road, 1790-7 links;
and on the west by the Wilson Road, 1121-7 links.
All that parcel of land in the Taranaki Land District,
containing by admeasurement 66 acres 2 roods, more or less,
being Section No. 503, Patea District, Carlyle Survey Dis-
trict. Bounded on the north by the Hukatere Road, 3502-3
links, and Section No. 490, 587-4 links; on the east by said
Section No. 490, 369-4 links, and by the Patea River; on the
south by Section No. 76, 766 links; and on the south-west by
railway reserve and a public road, 6686-4 links: save and
except a railway reserve in said section, containing by
admeasurement 25 perches, more or less, and bounded on
the north by said Section No. 503, 157-4 links, bearing
297° 52'; on the east by said Section No. 503, 157-4 links,
bearing 337° 19'; on the south by railway reserve, 157-4
links, bearing 117° 55'; and on the west by a public road,
157-4 links, bearing 337° 19'.
All that parcel of land in the Taranaki Land District, con-
taining by admeasurement 67 acres and 14 perches, more
or less, being Section No. 547, Patea District, Carlyle Survey
District. Bounded on the east by a public road, 6404 links;
on the south by railway reserve, and Sections Nos. 61, 502, and
501, 4798 links; and on the west by railway reserve and Sec-
tion No. 504, 3672 links: save and except a railway reserve
in said section, containing by admeasurement 4 acres and
10 perches, more or less, bounded on the east by said Section
No. 547, 2021-3 links bearing 4° 8', 657 links bearing 174° 26',
580-7 links bearing 344° 44', 569-8 links bearing 147° 38'; on
the south by Section No. 502 and railway reserve, 366-4 links
bearing 297° 50'; on the west by said Section No. 547, 1225-4
links bearing 344° 44', 1821-2 links bearing 4° 8', 267-5 links
bearing 179° 4', by railway reserve 309-8 links bearing 27°
39': also save and except another railway reserve in said
section, containing by admeasurement 1 rood 38 perches,
more or less, bounded on the north by a public road, 41-2
links bearing 164° 38', and 78-9 links bearing 107° 4'; on the
east by said Section No. 547, 495-8 links bearing 15° 26'; on
the south by railway reserve, 102-4 links, bearing 117° 52';
and on the west by said Section No. 547, 511-5 links, bearing
15° 26'.
For the use, support, and education of aboriginal natives
of the Ngati-tupito and Ngati-rangi Tribes.

this thirtieth day of September, one thousand
eight hundred and ninety-five.
