Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the
Colony of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and
consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, and in
exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by the
fourth section of "The Public Reserves Act, 1881," doth
hereby declare that from and after the day of the date hereof
the reserve described in the Schedule hereto shall become
vested in "The Opotiki Town Board," in trust, for a landing-
place.

SCHEDULE.

All that parcel of land in the Auckland Land District, being
Allotment No. 218 of Section 1 of the Town of Opotiki, and
containing by admeasurement 1 acre and 11 perches, more or
less. Bounded towards the north by Albert Street, 185 links;
towards the east by Church Street, 500 links; towards the
south by Victoria Street, 223 links; and towards the west by
the Otara River to the point of commencement: be all the
aforesaid linkages more or less.

Vesting a Reserve in the Bay of Islands County Council.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this thirtieth
day of September, 1895.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto
was permanently reserved for a quarry on the four-
teenth day of May, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-
five:
And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor, it is expe-
dient to vest the said land in the Bay of Islands County
Council:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the
Colony of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and
consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, and in
exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by the
fourth section of "The Public Reserves Act, 1881," doth
hereby declare that from and after the day of the date
hereof the reserve mentioned in the Schedule hereto shall
become vested in "The Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabi-
tants of the Bay of Islands County," in trust, for a quarry
reserve.

SCHEDULE.

All that parcel of land in the Auckland Land District,
being Section No. 25A of the Parish of Omapiere, containing
by admeasurement 10 acres, more or less. Bounded towards
the south-east by a public road, 1128 links and 1127 links;
towards the south-west by Section No. 25 of the Parish of
Omapiere, 1043 links; and towards the north-west by a
public road, 1958 links, to the point of commencement: be
all the aforesaid linkages more or less.

Removal of Restrictions on Alienation of Native Land.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this thirtieth
day of September, 1895.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS application has been made to the Governor
in Council by the owner of the land described in
the second column of the Schedule hereto, praying that the
restrictions on the alienation of such land contained in the
Crown grant bearing date the second day of February, one
thousand eight hundred and eighty-five, described in the
first column of the said Schedule, may be removed: And
whereas inquiry has been duly made by the Native Land
Court, and the said Court has reported that the provisions
of the law in that behalf have been complied with: And
whereas it appears expedient to grant such application:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony
of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers
conferred on him by "The Native Land Act, 1888," and
acting with the advice and consent of the Executive Council
of the said colony, doth hereby order and declare that all
restrictions imposed by the said Crown grant on the aliena-
tion of the said land are hereby removed.

day of September, 1895.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

BY virtue of the powers and authorities vested in me by
the twenty-fourth section of "The Public Reserves
Act, 1881," I, David, Earl of Glasgow, the Governor of the
Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent
of the Executive Council of the said colony, do hereby order
and declare that the reserve made for public recreation in
the Land District of Wellington, and known as the Newman
Recreation-ground, and described in the Schedule hereto,
shall be and the same is hereby brought under the operation
of and declared to be subject to the provisions of "The
Public Domains Act, 1881"; and such domain shall here-
after be managed, administered, and dealt with in manner
directed by the said Act.

SCHEDULE.

WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT.

All that parcel of land in the Wellington Land District,
containing by admeasurement 17 acres 2 roods 16 perches,
more or less, being Suburban Section No. 30, Town of
Newman, Mangaone Survey District. Bounded on the
north-east by a public road, 3900 links; on the south by a
public road, 749 links; and on the west by Suburban Section
No. 31, and by the Ramatawai Creek, 2900 links: be all the
aforesaid linkages more or less; as the same is delineated on
the plan deposited in the District Lands and Survey Office,
Wellington.

Also all that parcel of land in the Wellington Land Dis-
trict, containing by admeasurement 8 acres 2 roods 8 perches,
more or less, being Suburban Section No. 115, Township of
Newman, Mangaone Survey District. Bounded on the
north-east, east, and south-west by public roads, 5750 links;
and on the west by a public road, 250 links: be the afore-
said linkages more or less; as the same is delineated on
the plan deposited in the District Lands and Survey Office,
Wellington.

WHEREAS by the twelfth section of "The Public
Domains Act, 1881," it is, inter alia, enacted that
the Governor, by Order in Council, may from time to time
delegate all or any of the powers by the said Act conferred,
save as is therein mentioned, to any person or persons, for
any period, and subject to such stipulations as may be
specified in such Order, and that every such delegation may
