countant, both of Sydney, New South Wales. An invention
for improvements in the treatment of what is known as
kerosene shale for the production of hydrocarbons and other
products therefrom.
No. 7889.—9th September, 1895.—William White, of the
Brunswick Gasworks, Brunswick, near Melbourne, Victoria,
Plumber and Gasfitter, and John Alston Wallace, of Lud-
stone Chambers, Collins Street, Melbourne aforesaid, Mem-
ber of the Legislative Council of Victoria. An invention for
improvements in apparatus for automatically lighting and
extinguishing street and other gas-lamps.
