Bush land of rather poor quality, the bush consisting chiefly of red- and black-pine, fuchsia, and birch. With the exception of Sections 8 and 9, the soil of the whole of this block is light and sandy, the two enumerated being of a loamy nature. All the sections are fairly well watered. Situated from twelve to fifteen miles from the proposed Owaka Railway-station. Altitude, from 6ft. to 1,800ft. Sections 7 and 11 are grouped as one allotment.
