THE following notice, received from the Chairman of the
Hawera County Council, is published in accordance
with the provisions of "The Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1886."

HAWERA COUNTY COUNCIL.
Re loan of £650 for forming and metalling Skeet Road,
forming and metalling Duthie Road, and grading and metal-
ling the approaches to the Inaha Stream on the Skeet Road
(Block XVI., Kaupokonui):—
Notice is hereby given that the poll of ratepayers, taken
on 15th July, 1895, resulted as follows:—
Number of voters on roll, 14; number of votes exercisable,
19: Number of voters for proposal, 11; number of votes for
proposal, 16; number of voters against proposal, nil; num-
ber of votes against proposal, nil.
I therefore declare the proposal to be carried.

Waipawa County Council, is published in accordance
with the provisions of "The Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1886."

WAIPAWA COUNTY.
The following is the result of the poll taken on the 13th July,
1895, on a proposal to borrow £1,750 for the forming and
metalling of roads and erection of bridges in the Umutaoroa
or Manawatu No. 1 Block:—
Number of ratepayers on special roll, 33, representing 40
votes: Number of ratepayers who voted for the proposal, 24;
against the proposal, nil; number of votes recorded for the
proposal, 31; against, nil.
As a majority in number of the ratepayers voted in favour
of the proposal, and the number so voting are entitled to
more than one-half of the votes that can be exercised by the
whole number of ratepayers, I hereby declare the said pro-
posal to be carried.

NO. 45, SCARBOROUGH.
The following is the result of a poll taken on 26th June
ultimo, on a proposal to borrow £500, under "The Govern-
ment Loans to Local Bodies Act, 1886," for forming and
metalling Road 34 from Mangahao Road to Mangatainoka
River:—
Number of ratepayers on roll, 7: Number of votes re-
corded in favour, 6; vote not recorded, 1.
I therefore declare the proposal carried.

Board, is published in accordance with the provisions
of "The Road Boards Act, 1882."

ARAI ROAD BOARD.
A SPECIAL order made by Arai Road Board on the 14th day
of June, 1895, and confirmed at a subsequent meeting held
on the 15th day of July, 1895:—
Resolved, "That a special rate of two farthings in the pound
be made upon the lands in the following Schedule for a period
of twenty-six years, commencing 1st October, 1895, and
ending the 30th September, 1921, for the purpose of provid-
ing interest on a loan of £1,500, to be raised under the Go-
vernment Loans to Local Bodies Act, for the purpose of
constructing a road from the Gisborne-Mahia Road, near
Arai Bridge, to the Waimata Native Reserve; the rate to
be an annual recurring rate, and to be due and payable in
two equal instalments on the 1st day of February and the
1st day of August in each year.
"Schedule.
"Part of Arai No. 2 Block, bounded by a right line from
the northern boundary of Tapoto Native Reserve to the
western boundary, Waihoro No. 1 Block, Tapotoho Sub-
divisions 1 to 10, the Tapoto Native Reserve, the Waimata
Native Reserve, the Tarewauru Block, Waiwhakata, Tauo-
hiro, Ranginui, Tiraotane, Rangi-o-hini-hau, and Maraeataha
No. 2 Blocks, and Sections 95, 96, 98, 100, Block XI., Patu-
tahi Survey District."
The common seal of the inhabitants of the Arai Road
District was hereto attached in the presence of

I certify that the foregoing special order has been made
in accordance with law, and that all the requirements of
"The Road Boards Act, 1882," have been complied with.

Board, is published in accordance with the provisions

WAIMATE ROAD BOARD.—SPECIAL ORDER.
That, to secure repayment of a loan of £220, being an
additional advance of 10 per cent. on the Hastings Road
loan of £2,200, raised under "The Government Loans to
Local Bodies Act, 1886," for the construction of portion
of the Hastings and Skeet Roads, a special rate of 2½d. in
the pound be made and levied over the Hastings Road
Special Rating-area, comprising the under-mentioned sections:
21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 28, 29, 30, 31, 44, 45, 46, 49, 50, 52, 53,
54, and 55, Block XVI., Kaupokonui Survey District; 37,
38, 39, 40, 41, 42, 43, 44, 45, 46, 47, 48, 49, 50, 52, 53, 56, 57,
58, 59, 60, 61, and 62, Block XIII., Ngaire Survey District;
126, 129, 130, 135, 136, 137, 138, 139, and part 141, Block IV.,
Waimate Survey District; 59, 61, 62, and 63, Block I.,
Hawera Survey District. The said special rate to be an
annually-recurring rate for twenty-six years, and shall be
payable in one instalment on the 1st day of January in each
year of the aforesaid period.
I hereby certify that the above special order was duly
adopted by the Waimate Road Board at a meeting held on
7th June, and confirmed at a special meeting held on 17th
July, 1895.

Road Board, is published in accordance with the
provisions of "The Road Boards Act, 1882."

WIROKINO ROAD BOARD.—SPECIAL ORDER made and confirmed
by the Wirokino Board on Saturday, 20th July, 1895.
To make, for the purpose of paying interest and other annual
charges on a loan of £500, to be raised under "The Govern-
ment Loans to Local Bodies Act, 1886," for the purpose of
acquiring land for a road through Ihakara's reserve, and con-
structing such road, a special rate of 3d. in the pound on the
rateable values of the following properties: Sections 1, 2, 3,
4, 5, Block III., Waiopohu Survey District, and Sections 18,
19, Block XV., Mount Robinson Survey District. Such rate
to be an annually-recurring rate for a period of twenty-
six years, and payable in two equal instalments on 1st days
of June and December in each year.
I hereby certify that the foregoing special order has been
duly made by the Wirokino Road Board in accordance with
"The Road Boards Act, 1882."
