APPLICATION having been made to me to register a
re-entry by THE NEW ZEALAND MIDLAND
RAILWAY COMPANY (LIMITED), as Lessor, under
Memorandum of Lease No. 2505, of Rural Section 37005,
whereof JOHN KEMP is the registered Lessee, I hereby give
notice that I will register such re-entry at the expiration of
one calendar month from the date of the Gazette containing
this notice.

Mining Notices.
APPLICATION TO CONSTRUCT A MAIN TAIL-RACE.
Westland, 29th April, 1895.
To the Warden at Goldsborough.
WE, the undersigned, being a majority in number of
persons from whose claims water or tailings flow to
a common outlet at Goldsborough, hereby make application
for a main tail-race commencing at a peg marked A, firmly
implanted in the soil at a spot in what has been known for
a number of years as the right-hand branch of the Waimea
Creek (but which is virtually the left-hand branch) situate
about 17½ chains north-west of the western corner peg
of Section No. 1457, Arahura District; and terminating at
a peg marked B, firmly implanted in the soil at a spot in the
middle branch of the Waimea Creek situate about 5 chains
south-east of the eastern corner peg of Section No. 1457.
We apply for permission to occupy an additional area of
7ft. on each side of the race, for the protection thereof.
This race passes through said freehold Section No. 1457
by consent of the owner.
And we declare the following particulars to be true in
every respect:—
The length of such race is 32 chains or thereabouts.
The average depth is 9ft.
The average width is 6ft.
Estimated cost, £1,600.
