Grass-seed returned from Seed-cleaning Establishments.
Grass-seed forwarded by rail to seed-cleaning establish-
ments to be cleaned will, if returned from the original con-
signee to the original sender, be carried back to the original
sending-station free.
When grass-seed is returned under this regulation the con-
signment-note must be indorsed as follows: "This grass-
seed was received for cleaning on __, and is entitled to
be carried back free."

These sections are nearly all covered with mixed forest;
soil light, but good. They are not well watered, owing to
the porous nature of the soil.
CONDITIONS OF LEASING.
-
Term of lease, twenty-one years from the 1st day of
September, 1895. -
Rent payable half-yearly in advance; the first of such
half-yearly payments to be made at the close of sale, and all
future payments to be made to the officer appointed to
receive the same within sixty days from the days on which
they become due, and in default thereof the lease to be for-
feited. -
The lessee shall, within one year from the date of lease,
fell, burn, and sow with grass an area equal to 5 per cent.
of the land comprised therein; within two years a further
5 per cent. of the area; within three years a further 5 per
cent. of the area; within six years an amount equal to
one-quarter of the total area; and at the end of the term an
area equal to one-half of the total area. -
The lessee shall be liable for all rates, taxes, &c.

No transfers or assignments to be permitted without
the consent of the Commissioner of Crown Lands. -
No valuation for improvements will be paid by the
Crown, but the lease of the holdings will, a few months
before the end of the term, be submitted to auction again for
a further period of twenty-one years, loaded with the value
of the improvements in favour of the lessee. The incoming
tenant to pay the value of the improvements, but if there be
no bid for the lease then the land, with the improvements,
will revert to the outgoing tenant at the same rent paid
under the expiring lease.

IT is hereby notified that the lease for the term specified
of the under-mentioned reserve will be offered at public
auction, at the Land Office, Tauranga, on Wednesday, the
5th day of June proximo, at 11 a.m.
Maketu Survey District (Tauranga County),*Block II.,
Section 22A: Area, 26 acres 1 rood 20 perches; upset annual
rent, £5; subject to £350 for flax-mill.
Term of lease, fourteen years, without right of renewal.
No compensation for improvements during either the cur-
rency or at the termination of the lease. Rent payable
half-yearly in advance.

THE under-mentioned lands, being portion of Auckland University College endowment, will be open for sale or selection,
in terms of section 136 of "The Land Act, 1892," either for cash, for occupation with right of purchase, or for lease in
perpetuity, at the option of the selector, on and after Wednesday, 22nd May, 1895.
If more than one application be received for the same land on the same day, then the order of selection shall be decided
by ballot on the following day at 11 a.m., at the District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland.
