lington, who will appoint an officer to inspect the same,
together with the raw material then available from which
the cyanide of potassium is proposed to be manufactured.
5. The officer so appointed shall from time to time inspect
the process of manufacture, in order that he may satisfy
himself that the whole of the cyanide of potassium is being
manufactured from material of New Zealand production ;
and before any bonus is paid such officer will be required
to certify that he is satisfied the crude cyanide of potassium
is the product of New Zealand material only, and that it
contains the required percentage of potassium cyanide.
6. The bonus must be claimed for the first 100 tons on or
before the 31st March, 1897, and for the second 100 tons on
or before the 30th September, 1898.

Revocation of Appointment of Bonding Warehouse.

CUSTOMS.—In exercise of the authority in me for this
purpose vested, I, the Commissioner of Trade and

purpose vested by "The Customs Laws Consolidation
Act, 1882," I, the Commissioner of Trade and Customs, do
hereby approve and appoint the under-mentioned warehouse
to be a warehouse for the reception of goods under bond,
namely :—

The floor and cellar of a brick and concrete building, with
iron roof, situate on Oxford Terrace, Christchurch (Lot 14,
and part of a reserve, being part of Town Sections 712, 714,
715, and 716), to be known as

Alterations and Additions to the Scale of Fares and Charges
in Force upon the New Zealand Government Railways.

IN accordance with "The Government Railways Act, 1894,"
I, Richard John Seddon, Acting for the Minister for
Railways, do hereby make the following alterations in and
additions to the scale of fares, rates, and charges on the New
Zealand Government Railways, to come into force on and
after the 6th day of May, 1895 :—

PART II.—LUGGAGE, PARCELS, HORSES, &c.
Game, Dead Rabbits, and Fresh Fish.

The maximum charges for game, dead rabbits, and fresh
fish will be as follows for any distance :—

Not exceeding 7lb. . . . . . 0 6
Over 7lb., but not exceeding 14lb. . . . 1 0
Over 14lb., but not exceeding 28lb. . . . 1 6

In addition, a charge of 3d. for each 28lb., or part of
28lb., will be made for game, dead rabbits, and fresh fish,
charged at these maximum rates, consigned to Auckland,
Christchurch, Dunedin, or Invercargill.

PART III.—GOODS: REGULATIONS.
Game, Dead Rabbits, and Fresh Fish.

The maximum charges for game, dead rabbits, and fresh
fish will be as follows for any distance :—

Coal for Export to Places outside the Colony of New
Zealand.

Native coal (brown, anthracite or bituminous) for export
to places outside the Colony of New Zealand, consigned
from collieries to vessels clearing for ports beyond the Colony
of New Zealand, will be charged 25 per cent. less than the
classified rates, or, where local rates are in operation, 25 per
cent. less than the local rates.
