Extension of Period for Election of Boards of Conciliation.

GLASGOW, Governor.

WHEREAS by "The Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Act, 1894" (hereinafter termed "the said Act"), it is among other things enacted that Boards of Conciliation shall be elected for every industrial district within thirty days after the constitution of such districts, but that the Governor may from time to time extend the period within which any election shall be held for such time as he shall think fit:

Now, therefore, I, David, Earl of Glasgow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in me by the said Act, do hereby extend the period within which the election of Boards of Conciliation for the aforesaid districts may be held until the thirty-first day of May, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-five.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this thirtieth day of April, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-five.

Special Order made by the Arai Road Board, County of Cook.

THE following special order, made by the Arai Road Board, is published in accordance with the provisions of "The Road Boards Act, 1882."

ARAI ROAD DISTRICT.

A SPECIAL order made by the Arai Road Board at a special meeting held on the 19th day of February, 1895, and confirmed at a special meeting held on the 23rd of March, 1895:—

Resolved, "That an annual special rate of ½d. in the pound be struck on the rateable value of the following lands for a period of twenty-six years, commencing the 1st of April, 1895, and ending the 31st of March, 1921, for the purpose of providing interest on the loan of £1,500 raised for constructing the Arai Valley Road. Rate due and payable in two equal instalments, on 1st June and 1st December in each year."

Schedule.

Part of Arai No. 2 Block, bounded by a right line from the northern boundary of Tapoto Native Reserve to the western boundary of Waihoro No. 1 Block; Tapoto Subdivisions 1 to 10, the Tapoto Native Reserve, the Waimata Native Reserve, the Tarewauru Block; Waiwhakaata, Tauohiro, Ranginui, Tiraotane, Rangi-o-hine-hau, and Maraetaha No. 2 Blocks; and Sections 95, 96, 98, 100, Block XI., Patutahi Survey District.

The common seal of the inhabitants of the Arai Road District was hereto attached in the presence of
