FOURTH SCHEDULE.
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO CONSTRUCT WATER-RACE.
District: Ohinemuri.
Date: 17th December, 1894.
TO the Warden at Paeroa.—I hereby give notice that I intend to construct a water-race to divert and use water for mining purposes, commencing at a point on the Waitawheta Creek about 4 chains above Franklin’s house; thence by a tunnel running east 300ft.; thence by a race half a mile to creek running through Franklin’s property, called Waipumahana; thence by race to Ohinemuri River, and terminating at Waihi.
The length of such race is 7 miles or thereabouts, and its intended course is north to New Year Licensed Holding on the Ohinemuri River, at Waihi.
The mean depth of such race is 4ft. 6in., and the mean breadth is 12ft.; and it is proposed to divert 15 Government sluice-heads of water. It passes through or near to private property known as Sections 50, 51, 57, 58, 66, and 170, Waitawheta.
Cost of construction: £1,500.
Time required for construction: 12 months.
Number and date of miner’s right: 19716.
