Notice of the Laying-off of a Road over Lands in the
Auckland Land District.

NOTICE is hereby given, by direction of His Excellency
the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, under
the authority of "The Native Land Court Act, 1894," that
the road described in the Schedule hereto was, in August,
1894, duly taken and laid off through the lands specified in
the said Schedule, under the authority of the Governor of
the said colony, by a warrant dated the 5th April, 1894.

SCHEDULE.

Road in the Ounuwhao Block.

ALL that parcel of land in the Auckland Land District, con-
taining by admeasurement 2 acres 1 rood 24·3 perches, more
or less, situate in the Maungaru Survey District, and being
a road-line 100 links wide, traversing the south-eastern
portion of the Ounuwhao Block No. 1 (numbered 3200A in
red), the south-eastern boundary-line of which commences
at a point on the north-eastern boundary of the Ounuwhao
Block No. 1 at a distance of 504·2 links or thereabouts from
the Wairoa River, and thence proceeds south-westerly gene-
rally for a distance of 2450·8 links or thereabouts to its junc-
tion with another road; as the same is more particularly
delineated on the plan marked 7092, deposited in the Dis-
trict Lands and Survey Office at Auckland.

Notice of the Laying-off of a Road over Lands in the
Auckland Land District.

NOTICE is hereby given, by direction of His Excellency
the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, under
the authority of "The Native Land Court Act, 1894," that
the roads described in the Schedule hereto were, on the 30th
October, 1893, duly taken and laid off through the lands
specified in the said Schedule, under the authority of the
Governor of the said colony, by a warrant dated the 23rd
September, 1893.

SCHEDULE.

Road in the Rarotonga Block.

ALL that parcel of land in the Auckland Land District, con-
taining by admeasurement 13 acres 1 rood 36 perches, more
or less, situate in the Herekino Survey District, and being a
road-line 100 links wide and upwards, traversing the north-
eastern portion of the Rarotonga Block No. 3402A, the eastern
side of which commences at a point on the eastern boundary
of the Rarotonga Block aforesaid at a distance of 2564·7 links
or thereabouts from the south-western boundary of Section
No. 11A of Block III., Herekino Survey District, and proceeds
north-westerly, northerly, and north-easterly for a total
distance of 12309·6 links or thereabouts to its junction with
another road at the south-western corner of Section No. 5
of Block III. aforesaid.

Also, all that parcel of land in the Auckland Land District,
containing by admeasurement 4 acres and 12 perches, more
or less, situate in the Herekino Survey District, and being
a road-line 100 links wide, traversing part of the northern
portion of the Rarotonga Block No. 3402A, the northern side
of which commences at a point on the western side of the
road hereinbefore described at a distance of 4242 links or
thereabouts from its junction with the road which bounds
Section No. 5 of Block III., and proceeds south-westerly
generally for a distance of 4115 links or thereabouts to a
branch of the Herekino River.

Also, all that parcel of land in the Auckland Land District,
containing by admeasurement 8 acres 1 rood 32 perches,
more or less, situate in the Herekino Survey District, and
being a road-line 100 links wide, traversing part of the
northern portion of the Rarotonga Block No. 3402A, the
northern side of which commences at the north-western
angle of the Rarotonga Block aforesaid, and proceeds easterly
generally for a distance of 8199 links or thereabouts to a
branch of the Herekino River.

As the same are more particularly delineated on the plans
marked 7085 (1 and 2), deposited in the District Lands and
Survey Office at Auckland.

Civil Service Senior Examination.

IN pursuance of regulations under "The Civil Service
Reform Act, 1886," notice is hereby given that for the
Senior Examination of January, 1896, the period of literature
will be the first half of the nineteenth century, and the
special books will be Carlyle's "Sartor Resartus" and
Milton's "Samson Agonistes."

Notice.—Section 118, Native Land Court Act, 1894.

THE attention of all persons interested is directed to
section 118 of "The Native Land Court Act, 1894," which provides that bona fide transactions in Native lands
may be completed under certain restrictions. All claims
under this section must be notified as required by the Act
and the rules made thereunder, before the 23rd day of April
next, otherwise they will be excluded. Copies of the rules
affecting such claims, and all other necessary information,
may be obtained at any of the offices of the Native Land
Court.

of "The Public Trust Office Consolidation Act, 1894."

NOTICE is hereby given that, no person having taken
out administration, the Public Trustee has filed in
the office of the Supreme Court at Wellington an election
to administer the intestate estate of the person deceased
whose name, residence, and occupation, so far as known, are
hereunder respectively set forth, the gross property being
estimated not to exceed £250.

this office, on and after Wednesday, the 27th day of March,
1895, at the annual rentals noted below.

Endowment.)

Run No. 1, 1,214 acres; annual rent, £30 7s.
Run No. 2, 1,829 acres; annual rent, £45 14s. 6d.
Run No. 4, 1,296 acres; annual rent, £32 8s.
Run No. 5, 611 acres; annual rent, £15 5s. 6d.
Run No. 6, 986 acres; annual rent, £24 13s.
Run No. 7, 969 acres; annual rent, £24 4s. 6d.
Run No. 8, 1,477 acres; annual rent, £36 18s. 6d.

Situated from two to four miles from Whatawhata, and
about ten miles from Raglan, and comprising nearly all
broken forest land, of limestone formation and of good
quality. The runs will make good grass country when
cleared.
