Stratford County Council, is published in accordance
with the provisions of "The Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1886."

RESULT of poll taken on the 6th day of December, 1894, upon
the proposal to borrow £1,000, under "The Government
Loans to Local Bodies Act, 1886," to complete metalling of
Bird and Skinner Roads:—

Number of ratepayers on special roll, 21; number of votes
exercisable, 22: Number of ratepayers voting in favour of the
proposal, 11; number of votes recorded in favour of the pro-
posal, 12; number of ratepayers voting against the proposal,
1; number of votes recorded against the proposal, 1.
I declare the proposal to be carried.

Special Orders made by the Waimate Road Board, County
of Hawera.

THE following special orders, made by the Waimate Road
Board, are published in accordance with the provisions
of "The Road Boards Act, 1882."

WAIMATE ROAD BOARD.—SPECIAL ORDERS.

THAT, to secure repayment of a loan of £1,000 and interest
thereon, raised under "The Government Loans to Local
Bodies Act, 1886," for the purpose of felling all bush, clearing
a track 12ft. wide, and ditching and forming the Kiri Road
from the northern point of Section 69, Block XI., Opunake
Survey District, to the Forest Reserve, at a cost of £400,
and ditching, forming, making fords, and metalling the Kiri
Road from the Opunake-Stratford Road to the northern
point of Section 69, Block XI., Opunake Survey District, at
a cost of £600, a special rate of 3½d. in the pound be made
and levied over the Kiri Road Special Rating Area, compris-
ing the following sections: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8, Block V.,
Kaupokonui Survey District; 1 and 2, Block VIII., Opunake
Survey District; 61, 62, 63, 64, 65, 69, 70, 71, 73, 49, 46, and
48, Block XI., Opunake Survey District. Such rate to be an
annually-recurring rate for twenty-six years, and to be pay-
able in one instalment on the 1st day of January in each
year of the aforesaid period.

I hereby certify that the above special order was duly
made by the Waimate Road Board at a meeting held on the
2nd day of November, 1894, and confirmed at a special meet-
ing held on the 7th day of December, 1894.

That, to secure repayment of a loan of £1,100 and interest
thereon, raised under "The Government Loans to Local
Bodies Act, 1886," for the purpose of forming, culverting,
and metalling the unmetalled portions of the Mangawhero
Road from the Eltham Road to a point three miles and nine
chains in a northerly direction on the said road, a special
rate of 2½d. in the pound be made and levied over the Man-
gawhero Road Special Rating Area, comprising the following
sections: 1, 5, 7, 9, 10, 11, 13, and 15, Block VI., Kaupoko-
nui Survey District; and Sections 62, 63, 64, 68, 78, 80, 82,
and 84, Block X., Kaupokonui Survey District. Such rate
to be an annually-recurring rate for twenty-six years, and to
be payable in one instalment on the 1st day of January in
each year of the aforesaid period.
