*Appointment of District Offices under "The Native Land Court Act, 1894."
GLASGOW, Governor.
IN exercise and pursuance of the power in that behalf vested in me by "The Native Land Court Act, 1894," I, David, Earl of Glasgow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby appoint the under-mentioned places as the offices of the several Registrars of the said Court, and as the places where the records, plans, and other documents relating to the business of the said Court shall be deposited and the official or administrative work of the Court shall be carried on within the districts hereinafter defined respectively:
As to all matters within the jurisdiction of the Court arising within the territorial limits specified in the First Schedule hereto (heretofore known as the "Auckland Registrar's District")—the office of the Native Land Court in the City of Auckland;
As to all matters within the jurisdiction of the Court arising within the territorial limits specified in the Second Schedule hereto (heretofore known as the "Gisborne Registrar's District")—the office of the Native Land Court in the Borough of Gisborne;
As to all matters within the jurisdiction of the Court arising within the territorial limits specified in the Third Schedule (heretofore known as the "Wellington Registrar's District")—the office of the Native Land Court in the City of Wellington, and the office of the Native Land Court in the Town of Wanganui.
FIRST SCHEDULE.
ALL that area bounded towards the west and north generally by the sea; towards the east generally by a right line from Lottin Point to the 39th parallel of latitude at its intersection by the Napier and Taupo Road; thence by the 39th parallel of latitude to its intersection by the 176° 30' meridian of longitude; thence by a right line to trig. station on Te Iringa; thence towards the south by a right line to the summit of Ruapehu; again towards the west by a right line to Kakaramea Trig. Station; and again towards the south generally by a right line to a point on the boundary between the Provincial Districts of Auckland and Taranaki due east of White Bluff; and thence by a right line to White Bluff: including all adjacent islands.
SECOND SCHEDULE.
ALL that area bounded towards the north and east generally by the sea from Lottin Point to the Waihua River; towards the south generally by that river and the 39th parallel of latitude to the Napier and Taupo Road; and thence towards the north-west by a right line to Lottin Point aforesaid: including all adjacent islands.
THIRD SCHEDULE.
ALL that area bounded towards the north generally by a right line due east from White Bluff to the boundary between the Provincial Districts of Auckland and Taranaki; thence by a right line to Kakaramea Trig. Station; thence by a right line to the summit of Ruapehu; thence by a right line to the trig. station on Te Iringa; thence by a right line to the 39th parallel of latitude at its intersection by the 176° 30' meridian of longitude; thence by the 39th parallel of latitude to the Waihua River, and by that river to the sea: and towards the east, south, and west generally by the sea. Also all the Middle Island, Stewart Island, Chatham Islands, and all adjacent islands.

Result of Poll for Proposed Loan, Kaiti Road Board, Cook County.

THE following notice, received from the Chairman of the Kaiti Road Board, is published in accordance with the provisions of "The Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1886."

KAITI ROAD BOARD.—DARWIN ROAD SPECIAL DISTRICT.
I HEREBY give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of this special district, taken on Wednesday, 24th October, 1894, upon a proposal by this Board to raise a loan of £200 for the purpose of constructing a traffic bridge, and forming and metalling portions of Darwin Road from its junction with DeLautour Road, the following was the result:—
For the proposal, 8 ratepayers; exercised 9 votes. Against, 1 ratepayer; exercised 1 vote. Number of ratepayers in special district, 11, exercising 12 votes.
As a majority of ratepayers on the special roll, exercising more than one-half of the number of votes exercisable, voted in favour of the proposal, I hereby declare it carried.

WAIROA COUNTY.
THE following is the result of a poll taken on the 20th October, 1894, in the Mahia-Mahanga-Paritu Special District, on a proposal to borrow £500, under the provisions of "The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act, 1886," to form the Murewai-Mahia Road from Mahanga to the county boundary at Paritu, and the road from Opoutama to Mahanga:—
Number of ratepayers on special roll, 7, exercising 20 votes: Number who voted for the proposal, 5, exercising 17 votes; against, nil.
As the number of ratepayers who voted and the number of votes recorded for the proposal is in each case a majority of the total number on the roll, I therefore declare the proposal carried.

THE following special order, made by the Mangere Road Board, is published in accordance with the provisions of "The Road Boards Act, 1882."

MANGERE ROAD BOARD.
THAT, in order to provide a fund for the purpose of obtaining half the money towards the making of a road along the frontage of Lots 8, 9, 10, 11, 13, 14, and 15, subdivision of portion of Fairburn's grant, and Allotment 67, Parish of Manurewa, Mangere District, the total estimated cost of which is £35, a special rate of ½d. in the pound be made and levied on the rateable value of the aforesaid allotments; such rate to be an annually-recurring rate for the term of three years, payable each year in one instalment on the 31st day of December.
I certify that the above special order was made by the Mangere Road Board, after due notice, being advertised in accordance with the provisions of "The Road Boards Act, 1882."

MOA ROAD BOARD.
NOTICE is hereby given that this Board proposes to make the following special order:—
"That, to secure the repayment of a loan of £550, raised under 'The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act, 1886,' for the purpose of forming and metalling a portion of the Bristol Road West from the Junction Road eastwards, a special rate of 1½d. in the pound be made and levied over the following lands, which are hereby constituted the Bristol Road Special Rating District: Sections 1, 2, 3, 56, 57, Block I., Huiroa Survey District; Sections 14, 15, 16, 17, Block XIII., Waitara Survey District; Sections 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, Moa.
