Boundaries of Borough of Winton extended.

GLASGOW, Governor.
A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the power vested in me by
"The Municipal Corporations Act, 1886," I, David,
Earl of Glasgow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand,
do hereby proclaim and declare that the district the boundaries whereof are described in the First Schedule hereto is
hereby incorporated into the Borough of Winton, and added
to the North and South Wards of the said borough; and I
do further proclaim and declare that the boundaries of the
North and South Wards of the said Borough of Winton shall
be those described in the Second Schedule hereto, and the
boundaries of the said borough shall be those described in
the Third Schedule hereto.
FIRST SCHEDULE.
PROPOSED ADDITION TO THE BOROUGH OF WINTON.
ALL that area in the Southland Land District, containing by
admeasurement 7 acres 1 rood, more or less, being a part of
railway reserve. Bounded towards the north by a right line,
being the production in an easterly direction of the north
side of Grange Street, Borough of Winton, to the railway-
line; thence towards the east and north-east generally by
the railway-line to a point in line with the north-western
boundary-line of Section No. 1, Block V., East Winton
Township; thence towards the south-east by a right line to
the northernmost corner of the said Section No. 1, thence
by that section to a point in line with the north-eastern
boundary-line of Section No. 1, Block V., Borough of Winton;
and thence towards the west generally by a right line to the
south-eastern corner of said Section No. 1, and by the said
Borough of Winton to the northern side of Grange Street
aforesaid.
SECOND SCHEDULE.
NORTH WARD.
Amended Boundaries.
ALL that area in the Southland Land District, bounded
towards the north by the northern side of Grange Street,
Town of Winton, and its production to the railway-line;
thence towards the east generally by the railway-line to a
point in line with the northern side of Wemyss Street, Town
of Winton; thence towards the south generally by a right
line to the northern side of Wemyss Street, thence by the
northern side of that street to a point in line with the north-
western side of Meldrum Street, thence by a right line to
and along the north-western and northern sides of Meldrum
Street, crossing Park Street, and along the northern side of
that street produced to the western side of Mackenzie Street,
Town of Winton; and thence towards the west by the
western side of Mackenzie Street.
SOUTH WARD.
Amended Boundaries.
All that area in the Southland Land District, bounded
towards the north by North Ward hereinbefore described;
towards the north-east by the railway-line to a point in line
with the north-western boundary-line of Section No. 1,
Block V., East Winton Township; thence towards the south-
east by a right line to the northernmost corner of that
section, thence by Section No. 1 aforesaid; again towards
the north-east by Section No. 1 aforesaid and Section No. 2,
East Winton Township, to a point in line with the southern
side of Eglinton Street, Town of Winton; thence towards
the south by a right line to and along the southern side of
that street; and towards the west by the western side of
Mackenzie Street.
THIRD SCHEDULE.
BOROUGH OF WINTON.
Amended Boundaries.
ALL that area in the Southland Land District, bounded
towards the north by the northern side of Grange Street,
Town of Winton, and its production to the railway-line;
thence towards the east generally by the railway-line to a
point in line with the north-western boundary-line of Section
No. 1, Block V., East Winton Township; thence towards the
south-east by a right line to the northernmost corner of that
section, and thence by the said Section No. 1; towards the
north-east by Section No. 1 aforesaid, and Section No. 2,
East Winton Township, to a point in line with the southern
side of Eglinton Street, Town of Winton; thence towards
the south by a right line to and along the southern side of
that street; and towards the west by the western side of
Mackenzie Street, Town of Winton.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right
Honourable David, Earl of Glasgow; Knight
Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of
Saint Michael and Saint George; Governor and
Commander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty's
Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies,
and Vice-Admiral of the same; and issued under
the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government
House, at Wellington, this seventh day of November, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight
hundred and ninety-four.
