Notice of the Laying-off of a Road over Land in the
Wellington Land District.

NOTICE is hereby given, by direction of His Excellency
the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, under the
authority of "The Native Land Court Act, 1886," and its
amendments, that the road described in the Schedule
hereto was, on the 18th July, 1893, duly taken and laid off
through the land specified in the said Schedule, under the
authority of the Governor of the said colony, by a warrant
dated the 24th June, 1893.

SCHEDULE.

ROAD THROUGH OTAMAKAPUA NO. 1 NATIVE RESERVE,
WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT.

ALL that irregular piece of land in the Otamakapua, No. 1
Native Reserve, Block XIII., Hautapu Survey District, con-
taining by admeasurement 11 acres 2 roods, more or less,
being a road not less than 100 links in width, the centre-line
of which commences at a point on the eastern boundary of
the aforesaid reserve 38793·2 links south and 35056·9 links
west from Kawhatau No. 1 Trig. Station, and about 140
links from the Nuku-te-maire Stream (the said point being
marked A on the plan hereinafter referred to), and proceeds
generally in a south-westerly direction to the Otara Road at
peg lxix., at the point marked B on the plan hereinafter
referred to: as the same is more particularly delineated on
the plan marked P.W. 679, deposited in the District Lands
and Survey Office, Wellington.

ment 12 acres 2 roods, more or less, being a road not less
than 100 links in width, the centre-line of which com-
mences at a point on the bank of the Rangitikei River
6626·1 links south and 14274·4 links west from Kawhatau
No. 1 Trig. Station, marked A on the plan hereinafter re-
ferred to, and proceeds generally in a north-westerly direc-
tion to a point on the Main Central Road 4959·4 links south
and 21589·3 links west from Kawhatau No. 1 Trig. Station,
marked B on the plan hereinafter referred to: as the same
is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W. 677,
deposited in the District Lands and Survey Office, Wellin-
ton.

ALL that irregular piece of land in Awarua No. 4 Block,
Blocks IX. and X., Hautapu Survey District, containing by
admeasurement 5 acres 2 roods, more or less, being a road
not less than 100 links in width, the centre-line of which
commences at a point on the Main Central Road distant
1264 links, more or less, from the south-west boundary of
Awarua No. 4 Block, marked A on the plan hereinafter re-
ferred to, and proceeds generally in a south-easterly direc-
tion to a point on the Rangitikei River marked B on the
plan hereinafter referred to: be all the aforesaid linkages
more or less; as the same is more particularly delineated
on the plan marked P.W. 676, deposited in the District
Lands and Survey Office, Wellington.

IT is hereby notified that the lands enumerated in the
Schedule hereto have been acquired from the Native
owners by Her Majesty the Queen, under the provisions of
"The North Island Main Trunk Railway Loan Application
Act, 1886," and are now held by Her said Majesty, subject to
the provisions of section 5 of "The North Island Main Trunk
Railway Loan Application Act Amendment Act, 1889."

No. 11, and D No. 3.—Containing together 40,020 acres,
situated in the Whakamaru, Ranginui, and Marotiri Survey
Districts, being the whole of the land comprised in certificate
of title, Vol. lxvii., folio 276, of the Register-book of the
Auckland District. [Deeds Nos. 1809 and 1810, Auckland.]

Taurewa No. 1.—Containing 17,600 acres, situated in the
Piopiotca, Maungaku, Kaitieke, and Tongariro Survey Dis-
tricts, being the whole of the land comprised in, and de-
clared by, an order of the Native Land Court, made at
Tapuaeharuru, on the 24th day of September, 1887, to be the
property of Her Majesty. [Deed No. 669, Wellington.]

Tongariro No. 1A.—Containing 1,004 acres 2 roods 20
perches, situated in the Pihanga Survey District, being the
whole of the land comprised in, and declared by, an order of
the Native Land Court, made at Tapuaeharuru, on the 24th
day of September, 1887, to be the property of Her Majesty.

Tongariro No. 2A.—Containing 1,004 acres 2 roods 20
perches, situated in the Pihanga Survey District, being the
whole of the land comprised in, and declared by, an order of
the Native Land Court, made at Tapuaeharuru, on the 24th
day of September, 1887, to be the property of Her Majesty.

Tongariro No. 1B.—Containing 1,032 acres, situated in the
Tongariro, Pihanga, Ruapehu, and Rangipo Survey Districts,
being the whole of the land comprised in, and declared by,
an order of the Native Land Court, made at Tapuaeharuru,
on the 24th day of September, 1887, to be the property of
Her Majesty. [Deed No. 738, Wellington.]

Tongariro No. 2B.—Containing 977 acres 1 rood, situated
in the Ruapehu and Rangipo Survey Districts, being the
whole of the land comprised in, and declared by, an order of
the Native Land Court, made at Tapuaeharuru, on the 24th
day of September, 1887, to be the property of Her Majesty.

Ruapehu No. 1A.—Containing 1,198 acres, situated in the
Ruapehu Survey District, being the whole of the land com-
prised in, and declared by, an order of the Native Land
Court, made at Tapuaeharuru, on the 24th day of September,
1887, to be the property of Her Majesty. [Deed No. 740,
Wellington.]

Ruapehu No. 2A.—Containing 1,301 acres 3 roods, situated
in the Ruapehu Survey District, being the whole of the
land comprised in, and declared by, an order of the Native
Land Court, made at Tapuaeharuru, on the 24th day of
September, 1887, to be the property of Her Majesty. [Deed
No. 741, Wellington.]

Pohonuiatane Nos. 1A, 1B, 1C, 2A, and 3A.—Containing
together 30,671 acres, situated in the Maungakaretu and
Tiriraukawa Survey Districts, being the whole of the land
comprised in certificate of title, Vol. lxix., folio 153, of the
Register-book of the Wellington District. [Deed No. 734,
Wellington.]

Tauramatahaoe No. 1.—Containing 32,670 acres, situated
in the Poutatu, Upper Waitara, Ngatimaru, and Mahoe Sur-
vey Districts, being the whole of the land comprised in, and
declared by, an order of the Native Land Court, made at
Wanganui, on the 22nd day of March, 1893, to be the pro-
perty of Her Majesty. [Deed No. 225, Taranaki.]

Wakakauku.—Containing 4,579 acres, situated in the
Aria Survey District, being the whole of the land comprised
in certificate of title, Vol. xxvi., folio 166, of the Register-
book of the Taranaki District. [Deed No. 224, Taranaki.]
