Extending Time for holding Elections, &c., South Wairarapa River District.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this seventeenth day of January, 1894.

PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by the twenty-seventh section of “The River Boards Act, 1884,” it is enacted that on the second Tuesday in January, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-five, and on the same day in every third year thereafter, all the members of the Board shall go out of office, and a general election of members shall take place:
And whereas by misadventure no election was held on the second Tuesday in January, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-four (being the day upon which an election should have been held), to elect members to the South Wairarapa River Board:
And whereas by the forty-third section of the said Act it is enacted, among other things, that the Governor, by Order in Council notified in the Gazette, may extend the time allowed for the holding of any election or meeting of the Board, whether the day may have passed on which the same ought to have been held or not:
And whereas it is expedient that the neglect to hold such election as aforesaid should be remedied:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of all powers enabling him in this behalf, and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby extend the time for holding the election of members of the South Wairarapa River Board to the thirtieth day of January, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-four, and doth hereby order and declare that such election shall take place at the Road Board Office at Featherston, that Walter Bock shall be the Returning Officer to conduct such election, and that the first meeting of the said Board shall take place at the Road Board Office at Featherston, on the third day of February next, at the hour of two in the afternoon, and, lastly, that the provisions of “The Regulation of Local Elections Act, 1876,” so far as applicable, shall extend to the election to be held hereunder.

Closing Cemetery at Otahuhu, County of Manukau.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this seventeenth day of January, 1894.

WHEREAS it appears to the Governor that burials in the cemetery at Otahuhu, described in the Schedule hereto, should be wholly discontinued: And whereas a sufficient cemetery not within the limits of any borough or town district has been provided, and has been prepared for the interment of the dead, as required by “The Cemeteries Act, 1882”:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the Colony of New Zealand, and in pursuance of the authorities vested in him by the said “Cemeteries Act, 1882,” doth hereby order and direct that, from and after the first day of August, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-four, burials within the cemetery at Otahuhu, described in the aforesaid Schedule, shall be wholly discontinued; and, further, that the said cemetery or burial-ground shall, from and after the said first day of August, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-four, be vested in the Otahuhu Road Board, under the provisions and for the purposes of the seventy-ninth section of the said “Cemeteries Act, 1882.”
SCHEDULE.
All that parcel of land, containing by admeasurement 3 acres, more or less, being Lots Nos. 6, 8, and 10 of the Village of Otahuhu, Parish of Manurewa, Otahuhu Survey District, Land District of Auckland. Bounded towards the north by
Lot No. 4, 400 links; towards the east by a road, 750 links; towards the south by a road, 400 links; and towards the west by Lots Nos. 5, 7, and 9, 750 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less.

Notifying Lands in Auckland for Sale by Public Auction.
GLASGOW, Governor.
IN pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the one hundred and thirteenth section of “The Land Act, 1892,” I, David, Earl of Glasgow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby appoint Wednesday, the twenty-first day of March, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-four, as the time at which the lands enumerated in the Schedule hereto shall be sold by public auction at Auckland, and I do hereby fix the prices at which the said lands shall be sold as those mentioned in the said Schedule hereto following the description of such lands respectively.
SCHEDULE.
AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.
Coromandel County.—Parish of Mahakirau.
Section 1A, 15¼ acres; upset price, £7 12s. 6d. One-half tea-tree and mixed forest land; situated on main road, six miles from Mercury Bay. Subject to £50 for house and outbuildings.
Otamatea County.—Parish of Omaru.
Section 160, 711 acres; upset price, £1,070. Undulating forest land of good quality, containing about 1,500,000ft. green kauri and about 350,000ft. scorched kauri. The kauri is situated near the eastern boundary, and about half a mile from the Mangonui River. The section is about twelve miles from the Tokatoka Post-office.
Terms of Sale: One-fifth of the purchase-money (and full amount of valuation for improvements) to be paid on the fall of the hammer, and the balance, with Crown-grant fee, within thirty days thereafter; otherwise the deposit will be forfeited, and the contract for the sale of the land be null and void.
Hokianga County.—Omapere Survey District.
Block V., Sections 1 and 2, 121 acres and 31 perches; upset annual rent, £2. Open land, on the Waihou and Whakanekeneke Rivers, and known as the Experimental Farm Reserve.
Term of Lease: Fourteen years, without the right of renewal. Rent payable yearly in advance.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this eighteenth day of January, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-four.

Rural Lands in the Auckland Land District open for Sale or Selection.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the one hundred and thirty-sixth section of “The Land Act, 1892,” I, David, Earl of Glasgow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, having received the report of the Surveyor-General in this behalf, as in the said section is provided, do hereby declare that the rural lands enumerated in the Schedule hereto shall be open for sale or selection on and after the twenty-eighth day of March, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-four; and also that the lands mentioned in the said Schedule may, at the option of the applicant, be purchased for cash, or be selected for occupation with right of purchase, or on lease in perpetuity, or, in respect of any lands containing or supposed to contain any metal, mineral, or valuable stone, be selected on lease in perpetuity only; and I do hereby also fix the prices at which the said lands shall be sold, occupied, or leased, as mentioned in the said Schedule hereto, and do declare that the said lands shall be sold, occupied, or leased under and subject to the provisions of “The Land Act, 1892.”
