THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE.

In the matter of "The Companies Act, 1882," and the
amendments thereof; and in the matter of the People's
Journal of New Zealand Company (Limited).
NOTICE is hereby given that at an extraordinary general
meeting of the members of the above-named com-
pany, duly convened, and held at the registered office of the
said company, at Dunedin, on Tuesday, the 10th day of
July, 1894, the following extraordinary resolution was duly
passed: "That it has been proved to the satisfaction of the
shareholders that the company cannot, by reason of its
liabilities, continue its business, and that it is advisable to
wind up the same." And, further, at the same meeting Mr.
John Blackwood Howie, of Dunedin, Accountant, was ap-
pointed Liquidator of the said company.

THE NEW ZEALAND METHODIST NEWSPAPER
COMPANY (LIMITED), (IN LIQUIDATION).
NOTICE is hereby given that at an extraordinary general
meeting of the shareholders of the New Zealand
Methodist Newspaper Company (Limited), held on Friday,
the 29th day of June, 1894, the following resolution was
duly passed: viz., "That the New Zealand Methodist News-
paper Company (Limited) be wound up voluntarily." And
at a meeting of such shareholders held on Friday, the 13th
day of July, 1894, the above-mentioned resolution was duly
confirmed.
And notice is hereby also given that Charles Kiver, of
Christchurch, Accountant, has been duly appointed Liqui-
dator of the above-named company.

IN THE SUPREME COURT OF NEW ZEALAND,
WELLINGTON DISTRICT.
In the matter of "The Companies Act, 1882," and its
amendments; and in the matter of the Ashurst Foresters'
Hall Company (Limited).
BY an order by his Honour Mr. Justice Richmond, dated
the 20th day of July, 1894, on the petition of William
Dixon and Daniel McNeil Hanna, both of Palmerston
North, it was ordered that the said company be wound up
by this Court under the provisions of "The Companies Act,
1882," and that all subsequent proceedings be had in the
District Court of Wanganui, holden at Palmerston North.

that appear in each issue, will be published weekly, and will
be sent post-free to any address on payment of a subscription

PATENT OFFICE SUPPLEMENT.
A SPECIAL Supplement to the New Zealand Gazette is
now published fortnightly, containing all notices con-
cerning patents and trade-marks required by law to be
gazetted; also, particulars of lapsed applications for patents,
expired letters patent, and other information useful to in-
ventors, manufacturers, and others. The Supplement will
be issued free to subscribers to the Gazette, and to others on
payment of a subscription of ten shillings per annum, pay-
able in advance to the Government Printer.

THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE.
SUBSCRIPTIONS.—The subscription is at the rate of 30s.
per annum, PAYABLE IN ADVANCE. A less period than
three months cannot be subscribed for.
Single copies of the Gazette, 6d. each.
Advertisements are charged at the rate of 6d. per line for
the first insertion and 3d. per line for the second and any
subsequent insertion.
Statements under the Mining Act are uniformly charged
2s.
All advertisements should be written on one side of the
paper, and signatures, &c., should be written in a legible
hand.
The number of insertions required must be written across
the face of the advertisement.
The New Zealand Gazette is published on Thursday even-
ing in each week, and notices for insertion must be received
by the Government Printer before three o'clock of the day
preceding publication.
Communications should be addressed to the Government
Printer, Wellington, to whom post-office money-orders
should be made payable. Cheques should be crossed "Pub-
lic a/c," and exchange added.
Postage- or duty-stamps cannot be received in payment
from any place at which postal notes or post-office orders are
issued.
Prepayment may be demanded in any case. In order to
prevent delay in publication a sufficient remittance should
accompany every advertisement. Any surplus will be
returned with receipted account.
