borne by the County Council of Raglan, and that a proportion of one-third of the cost of establishing the said ferry shall be borne by the County Council of Waikato.
SCHEDULE.
THE ferry over the Waikato River, known as the Huntly Ferry, situated opposite Section No. 39, Parish of Pepepe, and partly in Raglan County and partly in Waikato County, as the site of the said ferry is delineated on the plan marked S.G. 9326, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon marked in red.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this twenty-fourth day of July, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-four.

Land taken for a Road in Waipa County.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken, under "The Public Works Act, 1882," and its amendments, for a certain work, to wit, the construction of a road in Waipa County:
And whereas the Waipa County Council has laid before the Governor the memorial, accompanied by a map, and also the statutory declaration, required by the said Act and the amendments thereof:
Now, therefore, I, David, Earl of Glasgow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities in me vested by "The Public Works Act, 1882," and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in that behalf, do hereby proclaim
and declare that, from and after the date of the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of the construction of the said road.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable David, Earl of Glasgow; Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George; Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty's Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral of the same; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington, this 24th day of July, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and ninety-four.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the one hundred and thirty-sixth section of "The Land Act, 1892," I, David, Earl of Glasgow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, having received the report of the Surveyor-General in this behalf, as in the said section is provided, do hereby declare that the rural lands enumerated in the Schedule hereto shall be open for sale or selection on and after the twenty-sixth day of September, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-four; and also that the lands mentioned in the said Schedule may, at the option of the applicant, be purchased for cash, or be selected for occupation with right of purchase or on lease in perpetuity, or, in respect of any land containing or supposed to contain any metal, mineral, or valuable stone, be selected on lease in perpetuity only; and I do hereby also fix the prices at which the said lands shall be sold, occupied, or leased, as mentioned in the said Schedule hereto, and do declare that the said lands shall be sold, occupied, or leased under and subject to the provisions of "The Land Act, 1892."
