THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE.
[No. 46

  1. No passenger shall obstruct or impede any conductor,
    officer, or servant of the company in the execution of his
    duty upon or in connection with any carriage or tramway of
    the company.
  2. The conductor of each carriage shall enforce these
    by-laws to the best of his ability; and, if any such conductor
    fails to enforce the same, he shall be deemed to have com-
    mitted a breach of this by-law, and may be fined accord-
    ingly.
  3. Any person offending against or committing a breach
    of any of these by-laws shall be liable to a penalty not exced-
    ing forty shillings.

OTICE is hereby given that a General Meeting of the
above-named company will be held at the office of
the Clinton Town Board, Clinton, in the Provincial District
of Otago, on Tuesday, the 7th day of August, 1894, at 7.30
o'clock in the afternoon, for the purpose of having the Liqui-
dators' final account laid before them, and hearing any ex-
planation that may be given by the Liquidators.

PATENT OFFICE SUPPLEMENT.

A
SPECIAL Supplement to the New Zealand Gazette is
now published fortnightly, containing all notices con-
cerning patents and trade-marks required by law to be
gazetted; also, particulars of lapsed applications for patents,
expired letters patent, and other information useful to in-
ventors, manufacturers, and others. The Supplement will
be issued free to subscribers to the Gazette, and to others on
payment of a subscription of ten shillings per annum, pay-
able in advance to the Government Printer.

HE public are informed that extracts from the New
Zealand Gazette, containing all Bankruptcy Notices
that appear in each issue, will be published weekly, and will
be sent post-free to any address on payment of a subscription
of 10s. per annum. Single copies, 3d. each. Orders should
be addressed and subscriptions made payable to

UBSCRIPTIONS.—The subscription is at the rate of 30s.
per annum, PAYABLE IN ADVANCE. A less period than
three months cannot be subscribed for.
Single copies of the Gazette, 6d. each.
Advertisements are charged at the rate of 6d. per line for
the first insertion and 3d. per line for the second and any
subsequent insertion.
Statements under the Mining Act are uniformly charged
2s.
All advertisements should be written on one side of the
paper, and signatures, &c., should be written in a legible
hand.
The number of insertions required must be written across
the face of the advertisement.
The New Zealand Gazette is published on Thursday even-
ing in each week, and notices for insertion must be received
by the Government Printer before three o'clock of the day
preceding publication.
Communications should be addressed to the Government
Printer, Wellington, to whom post-office money-orders
should be made payable. Cheques should be crossed "Pub-
lic a/c," and exchange added.
Postage- or duty-stamps cannot be received in payment
from any place at which postal notes or post-office orders are
issued.
Prepayment may be demanded in any case. In order to
prevent delay in publication a sufficient remittance should
accompany every advertisement. Any surplus will be
returned with receipted account.
