- That I am the person who, subject to the provisions of “The Land for Settlements Act, 1892,” am applying for a lease of Section , Block , District.
- That I am acquiring such lease solely for my own use and benefit, and not directly or indirectly for the use or benefit of any other person or persons whomsoever.
- That, including the lands now applied for, I am not the owner, tenant, or occupier, directly or indirectly, either by myself or jointly with any other person or persons, of any land acquired under “The Land for Settlements Act, 1892,” or of any lands anywhere in the colony, exceeding in the whole 320 acres of land.
- That I have not, within one year from the date hereof, surrendered a lease in perpetuity of the lands for a lease whereof I am now applying.
And I make this solemn declaration conscientiously believing the same to be true, and by virtue of an Act of the General Assembly of New Zealand intituled “The Justices of the Peace Act, 1882.”

At the Government House, at Christchurch, this sixth day of January, 1894.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
IN exercise and pursuance of the powers vested in him by “The Cemeteries Act 1882 Amendment Act, 1885,” and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby delegate to the Akaroa County Council the powers conferred upon him by section six of “The Cemeteries Act, 1882,” as to the appointment and removal of Trustees for the cemeteries described in the Schedule hereto; and doth declare that this Order in Council shall take effect as from the twenty-second day of January, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-four.
SCHEDULE.
LE BON’S BAY CEMETERY.
ALL that parcel of land in the Land District of Canterbury, containing by admeasurement 6 acres 1 rood 11 perches, more or less, being Section No. 800 (in red), Block VI., Okain’s Survey District. Bounded on the north-west by Section No. 19825, 706·7 links; on the north-east by Section No. 8924, 800·6 links; on the south-east by a road-line along the Le Bon’s River, 674·3 links; and on the south-west by a road-line, 1118·4 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less; as the same is delineated on the plan deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor, Christchurch.
LITTLE AKALOA CEMETERY.
All that parcel of land in the Land District of Canterbury, containing by admeasurement 2 acres and 7 perches, more or less, being Section No. 3024 (in red), formerly part of Rural Section No. 773, Block I., Okain’s Survey District. Bounded on the north-west by Reserve No. 90 (in red), 2005·5 links; on the east by Section No. 409, 248·6 links; and on the south-east by a road-line, 1923·2 links, save and except a road 100 links wide which intersects the area hereby described: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less; as the same is delineated on the plan deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor, Christchurch.
PIGEON BAY CEMETERY.
All that parcel of land in the Land District of Canterbury, containing by admeasurement 2 acres, more or less, being Section No. 624 (in red), Block X., Pigeon Bay Survey District. Bounded on the northward by Section No. 12176, 400 links; on the east by said Section No. 12176, 500 links; on the south by a road-line and the aforesaid Section No. 12176, 400 links; and on the west by Section No. 171, 500 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less; as the same is delineated on the plan deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor, Christchurch.
DUVAUCHELLE’S BAY CEMETERY.
All that parcel of land in the Land District of Canterbury, containing by admeasurement 2 acres and 18 perches, more or less, being Section No. 3038 (in red), formerly part of Rural Section No. 752, Block XV., Pigeon Bay Survey District. Bounded on the northward by the Okain’s Bay Road; on the south-east by Section No. 752; on the south-west by the Akaroa and Christchurch Road; and on the north-west by a public recreation-ground: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less; as the same is delineated on the plan deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor, Christchurch.
LITTLE RIVER CEMETERY.
All that parcel of land in the Land District of Canterbury, containing by admeasurement 2 acres, more or less, being Section No. 3023 (in red), formerly part Rural Section No. 4263, Block XIII., Pigeon Bay Survey District. Bounded on the north-east by Section No. 4263, 317 links; on the south-east by a line parallel to, and 158·5 links distant from, the south-eastern boundary of Section No. 4263, 634 links; on the south-west by a road-line, 317 links; and on the north-west by the said Section No. 4263, 634 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less; as the same is delineated on the plan deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor, Christchurch.
GOVERNOR’S BAY CEMETERY.
All that parcel of land in the Land District of Canterbury, containing by admeasurement 5 acres, more or less, being Section No. 66 (in red), Block III., Halswell Survey District. Bounded on the north-west by a road-line, 1035 links; on the eastward by a road-line, 720 links; on the southward by Section No. 184, 970 links; on the westward by said Section No. 184, 380 links (the north-east corner of the reserve being distant 50 links southerly on the west side of the road from the southern boundary of Section No. 249A): save and except such portions of the said reserve as may be used for a parsonage and schoolhouse: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less; as the same is delineated on the plan deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor, Christchurch.

Removal of Restrictions on Alienation of Native Land.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this eighteenth day of December, 1893.

THE HONOURABLE SIR P. A. BUCKLEY, K.C.M.G., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS application has been made to the Governor in Council by Parata te Mapu, Ripeka Wiremu te Pea, and Mango Whaiapu, the Native owners of the land described in the second column of the Schedule hereto, praying that the restrictions on the alienation of such land contained in the Land Transfer certificate bearing date the twenty-ninth day of November, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-two, described in the first column of the said Schedule, may be removed: And whereas inquiry has been duly made by the Native Land Court, and the said Court has reported that the provisions of the law in that behalf have been complied with: And whereas it appears expedient to grant such application:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on him by “The Native Land Act, 1888,” and acting with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby order and declare that all restrictions imposed by the said Land Transfer certificate on the alienation of the said land are hereby removed.
